Daniels leaned back into his seat, grabbed a cigar from his inside pocket and lit it with his lighter. Within the little cloud of smoke that rose he replied.
Daniels :I agree with you, It can be a good bargaining chip. If we can manage to get the research station that close to the gate we can make progress much faster. We will require some armament, but if we can upgrade the Barge with some extra Cerberus tech nothing can keep the thing at bay. We must remain vigilant at all times though, if something does jump through it's better dead than alive. I'll see what I can arrange, but I like the concept.
Scarlet closes her eyes for a moment, nodding along with the conversation absently, before shaking her head at its end."It won't work. There aren't enough level headed officers within the navy to stop and think long enough to realise how dangerous this gate is. Thier reaction will be something along the lines of "Usurpers, Enemy, Attack and hang the consequences."

"You misunderstand. I know the Navy officers can't be reasoned with, I've known it ever since we first arrived in Kansas. It's not them I intend to parley with. It's Hale. If past experience is any indicator, there's a man of reason amongst trigger-happy idiots, no offense to your past affiliation, Miss Orias. If no one else will, Hale will heed the warning. And the rest of the Navy would be mad to dissobey their commander. All we need is to scare him, and the house of cards will fall"

"If you believe you can do it... You have my full support. However carefull and intelligent minds are few and far between." Scarlet shrugs, the second time that day. And walks back towards the door. "Unless there is anything else?"
