Getting caught by a pirate is your first and biggest failure.
You may feel the need to mount a CAU8, but I tell you, I have flown my transports near armorless since arriving on disco, and during that time I have felt the chill down my spine, the white-knuckle fear that can only come from being an IC| running the gauntlet of Manchester-Magellan-California during the day.
The Hackers are everywhere, at every turn, every bend, and they are hunting you.
They know your moves, they have already surmised your strategy, they have calculated every possibility, every route of escape, led by the insiduious evil mastermind Moriarty, spinning their webs of crime throughout the INdependent worlds, and when you step on a string, when you so much as twitch in London or New York, they slowly begin to close in, like a circle of raptors around their prey, and only through spectacular skill and bravery, through one's own daring and cunning will you escape with your life, and cargo, intact.
But ye, I'm sure that pirate named Wantgold34 is really good too, you totally need that eight mil kcr investment to escape him, no other way nope.

4300 - cau6 - guns - shield = a nice even 4k:)

But many other transports get boned.

5k - hau2 - shield = 4850. So you run 4800 cargo on 3/4 runs but on the fourth the 150 turns into 200.
