Sorry to tell you Jinx. But M are mercenaries. We are not allowed to fly anything bigger than Gunboats.
But Dab is right about the BH-Cruiser "problem". The number of them just increased by about 500% the last few weeks. Making it not easy to collect a bounty if suddenly two cruisers appear and claim it for themselves in their big ships.
My Freelancer is in a fighter... and will stay in said fighter. Capship whoring is a problem, and if you want evidence, hang around Alpha for a day. A few days ago, poor Giovanni took off from Malta to find a fleet -- A FLEET -- of bounty hunter capships just sitting there. Ri-dic-u-lous.
@Flo: my bad - i just saw that one blowing up NPC BB groups at kyushu - in something appropriate to do that ( no fighter ) - let it be a gunboat then - but thats included in "capwhore-spamming-bashing-yelling" too.
anyway - what i wanted to say is - if i want to see evidence for more capships, i see them. - but if i want to see evidence for a lot of individuals using fighters - i see that, too.
@Zapp: well, not only the BHG - i remember coming to malta in a bomber - and the trader in malta orbit docks and returns in a dreadnaught ( allright, he got "asked" about that by a fellow outcast if that was really appropriate ) - but there are two sides, but i do understand that an outcast defending malta is not supposed to "match" the attackers strengh, but simply to make sure the attacker causes as little trouble as possible.

That was indeed me in a BH-Gunship. I was not alone there but had 2 or 3 fighters as escort there. So you can't call that Capship-spamming :)
OK. I am in the Ros, I love having a bounty on my head, no one has collected on me yet, so yeh, c'mon guys, I'm not that hard a target.
The whole thing has given me a good reason for both playing, and trying hard not to die, I love it, I'm getting loads of action out of it, and its not just pvp whoring, its actual RP.
However, it has caused a little insanity amongst the bounty hunters. The fleet that Zapp was refering to was massively excessive. And I think that the bounty is too high, frankly it's bound to cause something of a gold rush.
But all in all.... C'mon guys... give it your best shot. I've not succumbed to this yet, and nor shall I.
decided i do the smaller stuff instead of RoS:)- flying against a homefleet isn t soo effective ( still enjoyable ) but if there is little chance to actually collect a bounty - ... alpha is simply too far away from anything else.
but fighting against RoS was good to test different ships. - for now, i ll check for UoGs in rheinland - since RepEx payed more than twice as much for a kill.
oh yeah... BHG BCs... 2 days ago I even made a comment about that on a system chat.. while under fire by 2 of them + 2 GBs in my LF.
---
90% of my fights in Liberty space end with me and the other LH killing all fighters.. and then flying circles around the 2+++ BHG BCs and/or GBs attacking us.
They can defend an area from us yes... but they can never get the kill... if you decide not to get killed, you will not get killed. I was hoping the players flying them would find that out at some point. They are not bounty-collecting ships.
@Jihadjoe... that's what I think too.. bounties make it more interesting.
I'm an RoS member and its been quite fun with every bounty hunter in Sirius coming after us...
I must say though that Cheshire got ANNIALATED when he/she (?) tried to collect. Not Jink's fault though, suddenly about 3 extra RoS showed up just as she entered Alpha...bad timing.
