"Very well, Miss Whitehall. Do keep a watch on things and let us know if any support should be needed. No doubt it will get volatile there," commented Doc.
As Doc was getting ready to go to another issue of business, a communication came through on his datapad.
"What is this?" he asked himself out loud. From Xavier Triton
As he read it, he looked at Ambassador Triton and gave Marvin Orphelia a stern look. As he did, he read a comm that he hadn't had a chance to read: From Marvin
He then sent them to all the delegates, to include Victor Cross of OSI.
He again looked at Marvin Orphelia, "Mr. Orphelia, I find this disturbing. Selling jump co-ordinates in the open? While we Zoners try to keep neutrality, there are those who wish us harm and you make it easier. It's bad enough that Joseph DeFrance knows where Freeport 11 is thanks to that jump made by the JZ that I witnessed.
And why did you hide this from OSI? I think you owe us all an explanation."
Andrew murmured, having leaned forward a little to rest his elbows on the table, having his glove covered hands crossed over his lips as he spoke, pausing a little to see if anyone would restrict him from continuing. Without anyone doing so, that is what he did.
"...Request that we recognize that the JZ were in fact far from the first zoner groups to make contact with Gallia, often leading to the destruction of their vessels. The Gallic authorities already had salvaged the remains and, by using the coordinates gained, probably already knew the location of both Omicron Delta and Freeport 11."
He paused, letting the information sink in, before continuing.
"I will not shrug the responsibility of us bringing the Prince himself to our doorstep, but I will not, however, take up the accusation that it was because of us that the Gallics have learned the location of Delta. But I am sure you will want a more detailed explanation for that incident later on."
He added, before closing his eyes some.
"Gallia has many eyes working for them. Do not assume they did not have Sirius mapped out, even such remote locations. Not to mention..."
He added once more, giving a side glance to Orphelia.
"That with the leak of the OSI jump coordinates, the Gallics now possibly possess much more than that."
With that, he simply paused again, watching for the reactions to what he said, particularly eyeing Doc himself as he did.

"If they have many eyes working for them, then they probably already know the locations of many of these coordinates. I apologize for releasing these coordinates at such a beneficial time, for the JZ. It really nicely allows you to shift scruity over to little old me. "
"My mistake."
he turns over to Doc Holliday, and continues
"Those coordinates are quite free, Mr. Holliday. I'm not selling anything. This was purely retalliatory for the OSI believing they have the power to remove me from the Zoner communication channel. That is the only reason I released these codes."
"Although, It was meant as a sort of message, as well..."
"If you think I hurt your finances by simply tricking your equipment dealer, then you've got another thing coming..."
Marvin said, with slight fire in his voice, smiling at Victor Cross, and sitting back down.
Mikrosh stood up and faced Orphelia.
I mean no disrespect for you Mr Orphelia. Even though you disrespected me when I've asked you to remove the coordinates. I have even plead you to remove them, yet you laughed in my face!
Shame on you! Shame on you to put so many lives at risk! I think you don't realize the gravity of your actions!
It is not the fact that you showed to everyone where our bases are... It is the grave ACT!*he yelled the last word*that you gave an opportunity to every criminal out there to bypass the distances, to by pass patrols and scouts. Because of you, if any criminal out there, any terrorist or God knows what else, every one of them can simply come to our backyards and slaughter us like cattle.
And the sad part is that we won't be able to do anything... Innocent people won't even know what hit them, their scouts won't be able to track the criminals, their patrols won't be able to stop the criminals, and since you removed the "distance boundries" people won't even have enough time to prepare in case of an attack!
I don't care of your dispute with OSI, solve it, or ask us to solve this matter, but don't endanger innocent lives so you can get your revenge!
Looking towards the council:
I believe that Mr Orphelia made a foolish mistake by giving direct access to anyone out there, in the yard of innocent people. More than that, he gave a reason to GMG not to trust us Zoners anymore.
I have nothing else to add.
Mikrosh took back he's sit and drank two glasses of wine, one after another. He was obviously concerned about this matter.
'Enough.' Within delegations one voice raised. Martina standing, by looks annoyed by what course this meeting heads towards. After momenth of silence she continued. 'If this is what conference will be about, Porto Novo shall retreat from it. I see here only history repeating itself.'
Turning to TAZ, OSI and CoF representatives.
'What is it?! Tyranny? Using not yours assets to deal with single Freeport that crossed the line? Is Confederation turning into copy of Zoner Defence Force, fueled by political squables and influenced by selected few for their own ends? San Savage telling her own people that EVERYONE of Confederation takes biased stance against Eleven? Regardless of Harvey's objections he is told to stand back in line.'
Now looking at Orphelia.
'Now him, madman trying to secure only his own gain... I do not see him appropriate for his current position. Allthrough did ANYONE asked himself a question WHAT residents of Freeport 11 really want? Each region, each Freeport has its own unique diplomacy. Transmitting co-ordinates from OSI to everyone in Sirius - pathetic act of revenge that backfired. GMG will set bounty on him and only him, it will be his consequences to face that.'
Directing next words to everyone gathered.
'Do your sandbox conflicts between yourselves only. Your willingness to force your point of view on everyone will eventualy lead to the very same scenario when Zoner Alliance has fallen... Zoners united under same banner guided by TAZ and OSI, just yet even less organised than ever before. Orphelia escalated this dispute into what we see now and I am all for harsh consequences for his actions. All I want is you to give your own people chance to think, express and do what they think is right, even if contradictng your own agenda. Let them deal with consequences of their actions as every independent human outside House space should.
No Zoner participating in this squabble will come out victorious or with any sort of profit. It will be everyone else that will benefit from your arguments. That is why I left Freeport 1 in the first place and settled on peaceful Porto Novo, refusing to join Confederation. I even saw this happening but not on such scale as today it is. Look at Omega 50 just one jump away. No one is at our gates wanting my head.'

"Ladies and gentlemen, while we are in disagreement, we need to keep this in a civil tone," explained Doc. "Most of us don't agree with Mr. Orphelia's actions but let's also keep in mind, we aren't a council and we can't make a decision as a council. What CAN happen is that individual administrators and factions will have their own course of action. TAZ has made it's statement and I will support my ambassador on it."
Doc then turned to Mr. Allerton.
"No, you aren't the first Zoner group to make contact with Gallia but it concerns me and others here no doubt when we see Zoner ships coming out of jump right by an important Zoner installation. It would make us wonder, where else this may have happened. Freeport 11 is a major supplier of iridium and Gallia needs it like anyone else does. Considering they wish subjugation on most of Sirius and co-ordinates now openly available, what's to say a Royal Fleet doesn't just waltz in and take control of the base since it's of economic value? So yes, we would all like to know some details as Gallia and it's many groups are a major subject of concern."
"Mr. Allerton, you may speak on this." Doc then motioned to all, "of course, anyone else can speak on this as well."
Xavier rises, nods to the delegates in session and proceeds to respond to Martina's statement,
"I hear you Martina, it is a sad day when we have to take such harsh actions against another
Zoner. I dont take pleasure in calling for it and I don't seek to control or force my opinions on
anyone. However, when all is said and done, if a Zoner threatens the peace and stability of
the people I am responsible for, then it is my duty to see that the threat is neutralized as
the situation deserves. So I convened with factionalised and independant Zoners to come to
a solution and here we are."
Xavier took a deep breath and continued,
"I simply cannot turn away and let these things go without repercussions. Not anymore.
I used to do so before the latest Corsair incident and I had to make a tough decision that I am
not proud of. I was given a choice by the otherside to take control or see many Omega Zoners
die. I did what I had to do, I abandoned my pride and gave those Zoners who did not wish to
fight a chance at survival."
Xavier hangs his head before concluding his statement
"I remember when the individual was responsible for their own actions. When we were not
condemned for the actions of the few. These days are behind us, not because we made it
this way but because Sirius demands it. I am all for freedom of all Zoners, but those Zoners
must also take heed not to abuse that Freedom and be aware that in these times that their
actions can and do reflect on us all."
Xavier addresses Martina directly,
"On the point of Freeport 11's choice in all this, they will, of course, have the right to elect
their own administrator as it is their right. Until that time however, the CoF will keep the station
going. Not to impose on the Freeport residents but to keep their standard of living intact while
we sort all of this out."
Finishing the drink that Grady had brought him at the beginning of the conference, Victor waited for others to speak their minds; wanting to get a feel for some of the individuals he had not had contact with before. When Xavier has finished speaking, Victor cleared his throat, letting others know he would take his turn.
I'll refrain from commenting on Gallia for now as I'm sure that debate will be rather heated and lengthy.
iLooking at Martina, Victor continued speaking.
Tyranny, Ms Martina? Did I miss some transmission where Ms Savage forced Mr. Harvey to abide by her decision? From what I can see, Mr Harvey formed his opinion before having all of the facts and when presented with the facts his opinion changed.
Pausing and looking around the room before continuing
Listening to some of the people who claim to be Zoners on this channel, I find myself wondering how many of them actually are Zoners. Mr. Sky claimed that being a Zoner means not being exiled from a Freeport. Do I need to remind everyone in this room about the ORI? Does Mr. Talbott need to come here and speak on Zoner philosophy?
The leaderships of the TAZ, OSI, and the CoF as the leading bodies within our community merely did what the leaders of the Zoner community before us did; we saw a threat to the community and did what we needed to do to see it removed. That is the Zoner way, our way.
Mr. Orphelia has agreed to cede administration of 11 to the Confederation on the grounds that he not be exiled from our community. We've also mysteriously received a sum of credits that matches the amount stolen by Mr. Orphelia so as far as my company is concerned the matter is done with. As far as a new administrator for Eleven goes, I believe that the Confederation is capable of running the station until someone is selected for the job.
// Sorry for the ooRP - but I wanted this to be said where you could read it.
I'd really like to remind the independent players here that while in role play station administrators are elected by the station's populace; in reality they are appointed/selected/approved by OSI and TAZ. That fact is clearly stated in the Zoner Policy thread I maintain (I've further clarified it) and that was intentional when OSI, TAZ, and the Omicroners elected to allow independent players to role play the administrators of the stations. This is our way of including you, the independent players.
No one can speak for the Zoner NPCs without power gaming and neither OSI nor TAZ take removing an independent player lightly. Marvin's actions brought about his removal and ooRP all of the leaders of OSI, TAZ, and the CoF agreed that we weren't going to support a player (Cam) who would so proudly be an arse to another member of the community.
