'At least they did not hook on me.' John thought, but this fact didn't really improve his mood. He had absolutely no idea what was he doing, exposing himself as a juicy victim, and the Gallic pilots noticed that. Their leader ordered to change target to John's Templar. John saw loads of plasma heading towards his ship, and his hands immediately got numb from the fear and terror. Former Admiral of the Armed forces was certainly in no shape for combat right now. Luckily for him, the Gallics had no idea who was sitting inside their target.
"Oh god, oh god, I'm the target! I'm the target!" he screamed in the comms. The joystick was soaked with sweat from John's hands. His Templar just randomly flew around, hoping to avoid incoming fire.
Boom. There goes John's shield. "Layla, do you hear me?! My shields are down! So stop laying around and do something!" The explosions on John's hull did not end. "Help! Oh god, help me! How the hell do I turn on those bloody weapon syst-" And silence. The connection went dark. John's comms device was now disabled, and he had no way to communicate, only to hope.
Here, he found this strange button. Without hesitation, he pressed it. He felt sudden acceleration. This must be the thruster everyone was speaking of! With another flash of hope, he kept trying to avoid incoming fire.

"Lovely... time to disobey the doctor's orders and get my hands a bit messy." He sighed heavily into the microphone, flipping weapon systems online as his ship exited from the trade-lane.
The Paladin darted out from the New London trade-lane, a transition that any well train fighter pilot could make as the thrusters burned on full towards the nearest Gallic ship. Locking on, a stream of white tachyon sprayed across space, most of it landing directly on it's target disrupting the shields, this had caused the Gallic pilot to panic, swerving the Lynx away from chasing the Templar; however, the swerve was directly into more tachyon that had found it's mark - moments later, the Serval itself exploded.
"Scratch one tango. Hey, Admiral... learn to fly that thing, will you? It's a disgrace." Austin said, smirking softly as he cut the engines, turning the ship a hard left before engaging the thrusters again, chasing down a second Serval.
Seeing that John was out of danger for now he changed targets again and moved in behind the Lynx that was after Layla.
Firing Mike killed the shields of that Frog quickly, but it seemed that the Gaul didn't care since instead of going into evasive manouvers or even changing course he just flew straight after Laylas Templar trying to take her out.
Looks like the Frogs don't have that many skilled pilotes anymore.
He said into the comms while tearing hullplates off the last Lynx with his Splitters until the ship finally tore itselfe apart.
Damn it I hope this is the last I see of the frogs I mean for what did I take my vacation then? Anyhow thanks for the assistance Agent, much appreciated.
Mike checked his systems and then flew towards John's Templar to scan how bad the damage was.
*sighs* right John's Ship doesn't look that good anymore seems like his communicators are down, probably the reason he stoped screaming.
What do you think Layla should he land on Leeds to get it repaired?
“This font is good people said, this font is awesome others said, I say it works well enough to waste 2 seconds of your life reading this.”
John was glad the fight was over, but he was still struggling to establish comms connection. "Hello, can you hear me? Hello? Damnit! It's completely deaf!" He shouted with anger, punching the computer. A computerized voice could be heard not long after that. "I am not responsible for your anger, nor your apparent lack of flying skills. Please, do not damage the display, since it is innocent.""Oh shut up!" John barked out and kicked into the joystick. Layla, Agent and Havering could clearly see he was desperate.
John then pushed some buttons, breathing heavily. "Weapons systems activated." 'Oh, there it is. A bit late now, don't you think?' John thought and continued to establish a connection. "Hello, do you hear me? Hon'... You there?" He then saw two Templars and a Paladin right near his ship, in front of the cockpit. He faked a happy smile and waved, then carried on punching random buttons.
"Target acquired. Engaging." John froze at this moment, sweating even more than when the Gallic patrol showed up. What the hell was that crazed computer doing!? The Templar slowly turned towards Layla's ship, and started shooting.
"Damn you, bloody bunch of wires! That's not a frog!" He kept punching the console until sparks showed up, and Templar finally stopped. "Disengaging autopilot." Meanwhile, John did not notice, but comms connection was re-established again, so everyone could hear his last screaming.

Beads of sweat appeared on Layla's face as she was rigidly focused on the last remaining enemy fighter. Had she moved her face only half an inch the sweat would've started to drop on the consoles and devices, but every little bit of her attention was devoted to her ships flight and weapon controls.
Flickering, white-coated tachyon streams emitted from her Templar in an almost charming and artful manner and seemingly automatically found their way to their destiny through the vacuum.
Layla's tension loosened only as the Serval's wings broke apart and the cockpit suffered decompression after performing a few last rolls.
"Phhhhwhewww. Now what half-wit has decided to rush into our private party? He could've at least formally asked to be invited."
"That half-wit just saved your lives." Austin grumbled over the communications, looking pointedly at the video feeds from the three that were popping up on his Heads-up-display. He only recognized one of them as John Clay, the other two he didn't exactly care for, especially not after the comment the woman had made. After a few seconds, he flipped the Communications back on once John's ranting had actually finished.
"The name's Austin Goodman. Second Lieutenant of Section D of the Bretonian Intelligence Service."
Relieved John heard the name. Goodman, now that sounds familiar. "Goodman, are you the one who I think you are?"
"Well, anyway, thanks for saving us. You arrived in the high time." John switched to non-combat mode, and grabbed the joystick. "Let's move on. The sooner we arrice, the better. I can't wait to get out of this cockpit." Clay grumbled, and tried enter into formation with Layla. He failed.

"Intelligence Service? Those guys who know more of you than yourself? Well, thank you, I suppose... although it wouldn't have been necessary.."
Layla's voice grew more silent and she pretended a cough when she uttered the last words.
"...we had it under control."
She disengaged from battle mode and positioned herself face-to-face with Goodman's Paladin, meanwhile she noticed John flying odd circles around her ship.
"Darlin', what in the name of the blimmin' queen are you doing? You look like a shark roving about its prey."
Layla cleared her throat.
"You'll excuse the 'admiral', he's had better days."
She unmistakably put a humorously-disrespectful stress on the word admiral.
"That department you're speaking of is Section Five, not the one I... never mind." He stated bluntly, it was followed by a clear sigh afterwards.
His eyes scanned over both the vessels in front of him and the video feeds that were popping up along his heads-up-display. One he recognized as John Clay, the other two he didn't exactly know, nor particularly cared for that this point in time. Though his thoughts shifted away from asking who these two were, to answering John's question.
"The one and only, old friend." Austin replied, a forced smile appearing on his lips immediately afterwards, though it faded out as quickly as it appeared. "Where are you chaps heading?"
