This attitude would totally fix all problems you're discribing about the current devteam.
This thread's going off-topic. Let's all play nice before Zelot comes in and locks another thread with an actual purpose aside from trolling people and claiming that we were all just trolling.
the-starport.net either gives me a "connection was reset" error or just doesn't load at all, and the tab stays blank. Anyone have any clue what might cause that?
You know, I don't agree with you on a lot of points Jaec, but I honestly couldn't find a single problem wrong with your first post, especially after having submitted so much thoroughly tested stuff that was "broken" or "lost" due to laziness zzz
I'm hoping Friday does a good job with the whole storyline thing and actually listens to the input of faction leaders, but it seems like a common dev trait is the belief that respect is given and not earned.
Let me put it this way then. You're killing the community I don't care about.
Ah good, in that case you don't need to worry. Go ahead and play 4.82 with your group of friends.
Meanwhile, the community can continue enjoying the mod as it advances and puts more features in for players to enjoy, in a nice balanced way.
Since y'know, 4.82 was incredibly well balanced, full of features and developed for a community of hundreds.
Fun thing is that if a community members rails at the developers, that's perfectly fine. It's expected to be honest.
How dare someone rail back though? I mean, that would almost be fair.

The issue is they don't particularly want to play on a server with nobody on it. 8|
I also didn't say roll back to .82. I said .84.
My associate has requested I stop trolling back and forth. Moving on to the topic at hand.
' Wrote:* Bring back Argus and Zephyr: Wouldn't be extremely difficult I suppose. Although the old Argus model is buggy, would need some work on my side. But does the Colonial shipline really need a battlecruiser and carrier? Or do we need an IMG carrier for some reason? What's the motivation behind this?
I think Kai said it best, but here's the real point -
The Kronos is poorly statted for what its supposed to be - normally I would say "dont even use it" but BS's now have a very real use as carrier modules, jumpships, and more importantly - base siege platforms - and the Kronos needs work.
The Zephyr fits Colonial RP better then the Kronos however. I'd rather swap the kronos for the zephyr.
As for the Argus - It was a great ship, and of course i'd like it in our shipline.
' Wrote:Perfect example would be the Zephyr.
It was the CR faction that wanted rid of it, in favour of a battleship.
You know, the faction that actually earnt that shipline, instead of simply inheriting it and then complaining about it.
I keep running into this problem a lot - CR| took up the banner from its predecessor without having gotten filled in on anything the former HC was working on, or had going. But, we crack on regardless.
As for "earning" things - we have the much harder job of trying to earn community respect, and I'd like to think that counts for more.
Either way - Linkus, you made it pretty clear in skype months ago that your opinion is CR| deserves to be at the whim of official factions, and nothing for themselves. As a dev, I don't even feel comfortable with you working with that kind of bias.
