Layla instantly regretted not having paid any attention to what Johnny had been muttering in the comms when she saw how the Templar which was flying right next to hers caught fire and lost height in an uncomfortably fast manner.
"Holy mother of-"
She left the standard descent formation and rushed in the direction of the surface as quickly as possible. When she saw his vessel clashing with the snowy rocks she thought to herself:
"Please, you ejected the escape pod, you did it. How can you not do it, please, you have ejected it.. did you?"
Why did it have to happen to him, why? Why everything he touches gets screwed up? "Am I dead or I managed to press to correct button?" John said to himself.
As Layla's Templar was circling around, John kicked out the doors of his escape pod, and fired multiple flares into the air, signalizing that he's alive.
With enourmous effort, he managed to get out from his pod.

An undefinable object exploded right in front of Layla's cockpit emitting a brightly glaring red light which caused her to go totally blind for a second. Intuitionally, Layla peeled off to the right side as strongly as the engines allowed at that speed. For a second she thought her ship had been attacked but as soon as her rational mind took over her controls again she realized it had been merely a standard manufacture flare which was part of every Bretonian fighter escape pod equipment. The scanners detected a single life sign on the surface below her. Flying a circle around the area she appraised the terrain and chose the most suitable spot to land on: on the little plateau John's escape pod had dug itself into the frozen soil. The usual security measures for landing procedures wouldn't have allowed her to land due it barely offering enough space for even one Templar. Layla approached more slowly than usual, expecting that John would see her and give him enough time to figure out her intention to land right next to him. As the Templar gradually entered in the final touchdown stage, Layla could make him out in the snow. It was only now that she realized a heavy storm was raging. She could see him trembling because of the cold. He was close to perishing by cold, she figured. If the cold could kill a man in only a few minutes in here, what would it do to a woman suffering from frostiness-phobia like her? After having counted to three with closed eyes she dragged herself out of the cockpit and opened the top hatch in order to let him in.
Austin had watched the Templar drop like a rock the moment it's engine blew out. He wore a small smirk on his lips as everyone started to panic. He, himself, having crashed landed quite a few times. With a flare passing his windshield, he knew that John was safe - even if there weren't any flares the man would still be safe due to how the Templar was designed, a lovely feature that had saved Austin's own life plenty of times.
A few seconds later, the Paladin settled down near the crash site. A few seconds after that, Austin climbed out of the ship and dropped to the grassy ground, taking in a deep breath at how cold it suddenly got, his eyes looked up towards the snow-storm that was a few miles out, snow already starting to fall where they were.
"Hey, we need to either hunker down or get out of here now before that snow storm blocks our flight path!" Austin shouted, making a light jog over towards the crashed Templar to ensure that John was indeed alright.
John stood next to his half-burnt escape pod, which was mostly dug into the ground, observing the giant storm that was heading their way with incredible speed. "There's no way we can get away from this one, it's too fast!" He shouted at Austin and Layla. "I think it will be more safe if we wait till the storm rushes through, flying in this wind is too dangerous!" He then made a few steps towards Austin. "Bloody hell, what have I got myself into when I agreed to take part in this insane idea!?"
The howling wind was so loud, that Austin barely understood what was John saying. "Anyone got any plan?"

Looking in dismay in the direction of the squall line Layla considered their possibilities. John's ship and equipment was lost, so their trip would probably have to be re-arranged. She was not sure about Goodman's plans either.
"Goodman, we've got a residence about 150 kilometers eastern from here, that'd be the perfect lair to seek refuge at, only thing is.. we'd have to fly directly through that storm and honestly, I'm not feeling comfortable about doing this. Where did you want to go anyway?"
Throwing a glance at her husband who froze off his balls in the wind she yelled playfully:
"Hey Johnny, wanna get over here? It's pretty warm, too."
Mike was still in the air with his Templar flying wide circles around the chrashsight while Layla and Goodman landed to see if john was still alive.
At least John thought of chrashing his Templar in a good spot.
The plateau where John crashed was clear of big rocks or trees and just big enough for Layla to land on it.
Goodman had it a bit easier to land than her since his ship was much smaller than the Standart manufactured Templar.
Well this is working out great so far
he tought seeing the big stormclouds at the horizon.
Looking around to see if there was another plateau similar to the one where John and Layla where on Mike took a few rounds.
Having spotted one Mike took a final round and then started to make his landing approach.
Damn this is gonna be a close one.
He sweared while killing the engine and firing up his turn rockets which normaly where used to make a Ship turn faster, Mike used both of them to break his flight even more so that he wouldn't overshoot his target and thus take his Templar straight into the Mountain.
When his Ship was finally still Mike opened his Cargo bay doors and got out with his huge backpack.
So we'll ditch the Ships just like this?
He grinned while walking down to the rest of the small group.
“This font is good people said, this font is awesome others said, I say it works well enough to waste 2 seconds of your life reading this.”
John shivered in the cold wind. "Well, I am not gonna stand here till my bones shiver the hell outta themselves." He then looked at Layla who was looking at the men from her cargo bay entrance. "Might aswell join my hon'." He then ran to her Templar to get into more warm environment.

Austin sighed heavily, wrapping his jacket tighter around him as he started walking closer towards the open cargo-bay. Pausing only slightly to look at the storm that was fast moving in. "This storm doesn't look like it'll let up any time soon, just letting you guys know, we may be stuck here for a few days, and I sure as hell hate being stuck in tight spaces." Austin stated as he made his way into the Templar's cargo bay.
On the one hand Layla felt a bit uncomfortable with both John and Austin now being in her ship, it kind of felt as if two strange men had decided to reside in her bedroom for a few days. Already the thought of the Templar being an intimate area similar to one's bedroom was awkward, though. On the other hand she a sort of found it exciting to unexpectedly be forced shelter these two men in her very own fighter craft, these were the kinds of adventure she had sought to encounter.
Then she remembered Mike. Once again she peered out of the hatch and saw Mike down there freezing in the cold. He had landed his ship approximately 20 metres away from hers. Throwing a glance at both the storm, which was getting closer and closer, and her ship, she yelled in his direction:
"Hey Mike, we might need to stay here for a while. I don't think I have food rations for the four of us, you might want to take yours over here.. or better, get your Templar next to mine, your vessel is very much exposed to the wind over there."
