C.J.Nickerson of the LPi vessal WRECKER here. At this time i shall no longer be inforcing any parking laws. It seems the owner of the base in question is a fool who keeps changing his mind whether he wants parking inforced or not. LPi headquarters cannot decide how to handle the issue, and every fool with a ship has decided to ilegally block all traffic claiming peacefull protests. The navy, and LSF secondary fleet comanders cannot read updates sent to them via neuro net about new laws, so are firing on other Lawfuls, and refusing orders from their comanders.
Now I will still take direct orders from my comanding officers, but am done with these parking violations. That means i will be devoting all my time to traffic violations, and busted tail lights. I have been "gentle" in the past with these, but will now be impounding all ships found lacking.
Now from what I have seen, most of the people against this idea are these so called "Judges". One group with a leader so hell bent on getting rid of this new system that he bends the minds of the lesser Judges and makes them believe his lies and whinging. But you know, fair enough, if people don't like something they oppose it, and by the looks of it opposing it pretty well. My Officers were ordered to not use violence against the protesters or Judges parked illegally on top of Newark. However it no appears to me that you think you can breach this new system. That is not the case. If need be Riot Officers and vessels will be dispatched to the scene to move you all along.
Judges and other offender, you have 24 hours from this very moment to remove your vessels from Newark or purchase a Permit or you will be removed. Thank you.

Subject: Parking Permits for Newark (and it seems expanding to anywhere LPI thinks they can away with it!)
Good day Ladies and Gents,
I have watched with interest the News concerning these Parking Permits and I also was one of the peaceful protesters that occupied above Newark Station a few days ago.
I have a thought and it is puzzling me about the logic of some of the arguments being used. I have seen comments suggesting the blocking of the radar boosters and a traffic hazard to docking ships.
I can see the worth of these arguments but the logic I am having difficulty with and here is the crux of the matter. If this is not a scheme for some Corporations and LPI to make a fast Credit or two, then their argument falls over at the fact that if 200 ships buy the permit and then hang around Newark (which now will be their right), how much less of a danger to Traffic and blocking of radar boosters do they now pose? Does the Permit, which I suppose is kept on the ship, somehow make them invisible to docking radar and somehow they become less of a traffic hazard?
If so i suggest they mass produce these permits and sell them to the people of Sirius as this would reduce the 'accidents' that I see daily on the News. You will be able to become rich beyond your wildest dreams as the sole supplier of such a Wonderous Invention.
I will carry on watching the development of this piece of News and if this Wonderous Invention does go forward please remember who gave you the idea to mass produce when Bonus time comes around.

'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
I'd like to purchase such parking lot ticket. I'm not that often in Liberty, but when I'm passing by at Newark, I've always been having a rest there, and I wouldn't like to miss that pleasure. My vessel has the size of a heavy gunboat. The payment has already been sent:
Those 23 credits is donut money for you, officer. Enjoy!
You clearly do not understand the Judges. Each Judge stands equal and has an equal voice in creation of policy. Unlike yourself where the stroke of your pen creates law for us all, with the Judges they must agree with all decisions made. There are no 'lesser' Judges. We stand as equals.
For the record, I do not lie nor partake of; I believe you were looking for the word 'whining' in your missive. Even those who hate me and there are a few, do not say I lie. They might say my truths are not theirs. I never made personal attacks against you Lawgiver Shaw, other than perhaps the new title which is fitting. You and you alone created this 'law.' Therefore logic demands that you and you alone are the Lawgiver. Your personal attacks upon me I find depressing.
You have made it plain you will destroy Liberty's marketplace. A year I have been there, as dozens have noted upon already. At no time was traffic blocked, mooring points blocked or communications interfered with. However the facts are no longer germane to the argument. You want your extortion as any pirate does and will use naked force to get it.
'Ey, bunch 'o whiny little girls o'er 'ere. 'S a parking permit lads, innit what ye' pay 'n big cities t'park yer planet-side shuttles 'n whatnot? 'S not yer space, y'ain't allowed t'be parkin' there 'f they say y'ain't. Get some hair on them nats 'n suck t'up. Nobody forcin' ye' t'park 'ere laddies. I ne'er park there 'en I come t'Liberteh. Feheh, sad wot passes fer men now'days. Men don't care 'bout no parkin'. 'N men 'efinitely don't "peacefully protest."
I was wondering... This permit of yours... If I pay that 100.000 SC, and get the permit, will I be less of a danger to docking ships then? From what I could tell, you wanted to clear the area. This sounds more to me like you want a "bonus with your next paycheck". A very elegant way to disguise those bribes, I must say! Hats off to ya'll, Coppers! *laughs*
No personal attacks against myself, no. However against my colleague Deputy Chief Sinclair I believe there were a few, saying that if he did anything he would regret it, just in a longer more insulting way than I just described. And as we keep on saying, it's a Parking Permit, not a law. You just choose to ignore that fact every single time we explain this to you, we have our limits when it comes to patience. You're nearing it. Only a few hours left I believe.
So this "extortion" as you put it, to make the area around Manhattan a safer place is just common piracy? Where in actual fact the money collected from this scheme will allow a permanent parking structure above Newark to be built for vessels to park as they choose so that they can meet people and generally congregate with other Liberty citizens. And you still call this piracy?
And whilst on that note, where do you think the money for that construction is going to come from? Think we have a little Piggy Bank we open every time we need a new uniform? Truth to the matter is that we don't, we have to earn those credits the same way as everyone else does.
This Parking Permit Scheme is to bring people together in Liberty and keep them safe from the dangers of docking vessels. Docking areas are very busy places, accidents happen and people die from said accidents. But if you can't seem to grasp this concept then very well. That is up to you.
And Mr. Metzger, if you purchase a Parking Permit you are entitled to a parking spot a out of the way of docking vessels, so yes. And if you want to believe that, then do so, I mean ever Libertonian loves a Government Conspiracy now don't they?
