I've just tried to change back my old avatar (which I've also been using on the new forums), when I recieved this error message:
Quote:Please correct the following errors before continuing:
The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL.
But it IS valid. I'm trying to use this link: http://signavatar.com/18767_v.gif
And it already worked with the new forums, until I changed it. What am I doing wrong?

There's a very simple reason for this, as far as I can see: the file extension for your rotating avatar doesn't match up with the file type of the files it's redirecting to. The forums are expecting a .gif file, but you're instead redirecting it to a bunch of .png images. At least that's what I'd presume it's complaining about - you could try either converting your images to .gifs, changing the file extension of the file on your rotating image service to .png (if possible), or change to a different rotating image service.
However, it doesn't change anything if I use the .png or .jpg file ending. Which both do work.
I'm wondering, why it doesn't work anymore now, because I had exactly this url used before, in the current forums. And now it just won't accept it, for no reason.
Well, seems like there's nothing I can do about. I'll just leave it then.
