My apologies, my King. I didn't mean you specifcally. I was just painting a generalized picture of how a lot of people perceive the current state of affairs. Of course some factions and a lot of experienced players differ drastically from that.
Cute. Sarcastic insults mixed in with explanations.
I'd shoot the messenger, but guess what? I'm a nice guy. I'm trying to ignite that small kindling of change. I bother to do so, I weather your insults and your disregard, because in all this, someone has to be nice. I am trying to not only stop Alte's rants, rages, and baiting, but also scold others and tell them to shape up.
You want honesty? You're honestly pissing me off. I am not pleasant when angry. I don't want to get angry. I happen to LIKE being nice
So, honestly, stay out of it. If you won't help me in my attempt to make even one person act better, then get out.
I'm sorry if I insulted you. That was not my intent in any way, shape or form. I hope you realize that. And with that, I think I'm leaving the forum to go have some fun in-game.

Then I apologize for snapping back at you. I read it wrong.
That is another thing.
Admitting when you are wrong, apologizing...and then accepting the apology...and providing your own. That goes a long way to making this place better. By admitting faults and forgiving people for them.
See? We're already progressing. Every journey begins with a single step.

That honest enough for you?
Well if you are a nice guy then dont get so angry eh, nice guys dont get pissed off.
Honestly everyone has the right to their own opinion am i right? and thats what this is for, to conculde and resolve to an understanding.
If you have problems with alte why dont you settle them by PMing him or something and act mature and politically rather say fix it or die. You got the status to do so right? being a leader and what not?
And in this thread Alte did make a point... just putting that out there, no need for one-liners when you can have a brief convo. before engaging, even if its just insulting back and forth. Im fine with even that.
I would say quite a few pirates do seem to be a bit over ambitious when it comes to trying to get RP out of people.
We had an outcast Gunboat yesterday, won't say his name, flew up to our SFC capitals with a few indie snubs coming back from kicking RNC out of Texas. 2 SFC Dreadoughts, 1 SFC Carrier and a few indie bombers.
Now I'm sure the majority of pirates would probably agree with me, that in a gunboat its probably not a great idea to get to close, especially since we'd all just come back from killing caps in Texas we're probably not going to be in a very talkative mood.
Fair enough he wanted to RP with us, and we did to an extent. The annoyance came when after one of us decided to engage, and he starts spamming OORP in local about how were all a bunch of noobs after he dies.
I spose my point is, as usual, theres people like this on both sides. I usually prefer to chat to pirates, unless I feel they are an imediate threat (For eg, chatting to an OC whilst you know there is an OC dread within about 100k of your position isen't exactly a clever idea, since hes most likely stalling for time.) I think:
1. Some people definatly should give more roleplay before engagement, I think most factions have people guilty in this area.
2. Some people do like to RP, should get an idea as to whats going to happen prior to it starting. If it looks likely you're going to get yourself killed, and you don't want to be killed, screw the chit chat, make a fast exit whilst its still possible. And try to avoid larger groups, chances are atleast one of them won't feel like chatting, even if many of them do.
I'll talk to anybody that isnt creating some kind of urgent situation. Running, shooting, being a known-hostile, all get you shot with minimal conversation. Which were you?

I'll go paragraph by paragraph.
1.) Who are you to dictate my personality? I'm nice, but I also have a very short temper. It's not my choice. You don't like a nice guy angry?
Then don't piss him off.
2.) Correct. They do. This is my opinion.
3.) Alte is a good friend and leader, I said so myself. Read more carefully. But even friends are not infallible. Hell. I Prolly will contact him Monday when I get internet, not a 3G smartphone.
Also, status means nothing. I am leader of the GRN, but even if I was still an independant player, I would be ranting here. Status means jack shit if you see something wrong and decide to try an attempt at rectification. Stop letting status affect how you should approach someone. Nor should it be a deciding factor with who you listen to.
4.) He did have a point.
I never said the contrary. Never.
I only called Alte out on his baiting of Dashiell.
