Yeah - 14 hour drive that took 23 ... I hate the Ozark Mountains. Or at least driving through them. 100 mph ... downhill. Then negotiate the curve at the bottom, and you're lucky to be doing 30 when you get to the top of the next hill. Rinse and repeat for 200 miles.
Took my dogs and cat with me, too, so that didn't speed things up at all, as I had to stop and let them out every so often.
You want to know what's funny? We ended up with ANOTHER couch and loveseat once I got down there, sister-in-law had it as furniture in one of the houses she's selling.
And of course, I don't do well when stuffed in an aluminum tube with 150 people, especially when going from 70 degree temps to 30 degree temps - got home Monday night at midnight (my luggage showed up at 3 pm on Tuesday - seriously, people, look at the TAGS when you pick up that bag you think is yours!) and I spent Tuesday and Wednesday either on the john or just sick in bed. But now I'm feeling better.
Wow, it's weird being in the ranks of the unemployed - sure, I still have craft show with that business, but ... man, not having to get up at oh dark thirty every single freaking day is nice.
