'Ello ladies and gentlemen. I'm looking for best VHF and weapon setup for it, I would prefer that the weapon setup includen some CODENAMEs since I'm a fan of them. I planning to become a Merc so I need some advices from the community. Thanks in advance

Get that and you can be one of the best no matter what you're flying
- high frame rate
- lower ping then your opponent
- a half decent mouse
and you'll win against the most 'skilled' players out there 9 out of 10 times

Low ping, good aim = 4x Excaliburs
High ping, bad aim = 4x Flashpoints
If you mean merc as in Bounty Hunter then:
Manta + 4x Buckshots
or better yet a Bottlenose + basics
Yes skill is most important thing, also Internet connection (LAG) and so on.
But I personally have preferences about ships. If I don't like it's design and how it moves I won't buy it. No matter what people say.
Btw. I have a pirate sabre equipped with 4 Phoenix (codename) and 3 Debilitators. All guns shoot at rate of 4. I could lend you that one to try it. If you like it you may buy it. If no I will accept return.
Most ships are in line with eachother, only a few stand out, and even those need a high skill level for the player to truly bring out the best of the ship. Low skill-ass kicked regardless of what you're flying. High skill-can beat you in a Starflier.
I'm not really sure if the Bastet still has full Class 10 slots, but if it does, you could try it out, since you're a fan of them. The drawback is that it has smaller core, and with 6 Codes strapped in, you won't be running around and gunning everything in your path.
Well first figure out what kind of re fire gun you want to use. IF 2.00, then EXCALIBUR, HEIMDALL, and IRON HAMMER are not bad guns. The 650ms 2.00s are good also, GOLDEN BLADEs are very good. In 3.03s, MEDUSA are good guns because they have 625ms whihc is close to 650ms debs. In ships its whatever you like. If its for Merc with FL ID, Sabre isnt bad choice. Wasapu is good ship, its small and fast. Its whatever ship you feel good in. And if a BHG ID Merc, its either Manta and 4 Buckshots with 2 Debs or B Nose which is amazing Gunship.

Check your stats mate. Heimballs are better than goldenblades
