Engaging jumper works in the way, that, if Jumper will either die or dock, it's game over for them. In the system where it took place, at least. For 4 hours. Especially if he's docked on the opposing side of Sirius, and doesnt have coordinates to nearby systems (hint hint, Jump Traders)
But yeah, assaulting such group without friends won't be easy. But possibly, if you put yourself right and won't be demanding high sums.
P.S. Keep in mind that traders may feed him with fuel through trade window in an attempt to gtfo. In this case, things are worse. (another hint to Jump Traders. Since well, pirates shouldnt get all the fun, should they?)

Group jumps are indiscriminate, they will suck anyone within range of the jumpship along, even hostiles. "Thanks for the trip. Now, to business. 2milordai?"
You mean sneaky as in the 8 seconds of cloak a bomber can have, or the 4 seconds a fighter as?

I said pirating them, to get moeny not just annoy them. Whats the point in just harrassing people who are jumping for no reason?

If you got 3 bombers? Just shoot the transports.
Youd need to be on the other side, or in craft they think are neutral so they let you come: I wonder, cloaking carrier with bombers docked inside anyone?

its like BS piracy, you only achieve results through "tough love". whack the jumpgroup a couple of times, and they'll realize its much better for them just to pay you so they can carry on making their credits in peace.
Jump traders suffer from the "Don't hit me, it hurts." syndrome.
That means:
A) They only talk when being hit.
B) They will try to get a window of opportunity to flee with a no-end conversation.
C) If you hit them hard, fast, two three times, they will probably even offer you a 50 mill deal per week/month so you won't hit them anymore.
Cool thing about being a Reaver.
No matter the trader, they die. They can talk, they can run, they can shoot, they can offer all the e-money in the world and then some.
They still die, because we don't diss the contract.

Well, I think you do not understand the mechanics. Stopping your Jumptrading for 4 hours, especially since those are done in the evening, = "k'ay, Good night all, nothing more to do here." That's hardly annoying, sounds more like a ruined event (it's pretty hard to get a group of professionals, and make them log in for the not too fun, but very demanding grinding. Jumper especially, as Henderson pointed out), if those guys dont have any other jumping routes they can use on their ships.
Nothing harms Jump group more, then a loss of the jumper.
And, do you really think you love annoying harmless traders so much? It's still more profitable to go and mine, if you need cash that much. =\
