I really wouldn't have thought so, as SweetFX usually runs everywhere without issues.
Would you be so kind as to do one more test? Rename the "d3d9.dll" to "d3d9.dll_enb" and rename the "d3d9_sweetfx.dll" to "d3d9.dll".
Try running the game then.
This would tell me if SweetFX is entirely at fault or if just ENB fails to properly load SweetFX as a secondary plugin.
While I do consider my ENB superior to the default ENB setup anyway, I really believe the additional tweaks by SweetFX improve visuals quite a bit. Would love to solve this issue.
I've noticed that base environments take the hit for the gains here. Things in the shadows in bases end up nothing but siluhets, and when I'm trying to grab the merchant out of a cloud of darkness behind his counter...that's something of a problem.
More than jsut a problem though, its jarringly ugly.
I'm also noticing strange effects from particle fields in the cutscenes.
disabling the proxy option fixed it for me too. I tried swapping the d3d9.dll and it crashed with that, so I guess something with it.
Docking on some stations is very problematic, since the bloom doesnt seem to adjust correctly and the station is pitch black until you restart. Also the framerate drops way down for me with this setup. I'll try to do some more testing later.
@Ursus&Unseelie: Pitch black? Are you talking about in-station environments or space outside? A screenshot would be helpful.
I once had the issue on-base that the objects there were entirely one-color grey/blackish, but the UI was unharmed by that. If that is what you mean, you can try this:
Open the enbseries.ini again and change the following settings in [GLOBAL]:
AlternativeDepth=1
This was set to "0" before.
I'll have more time on the weekend (I hope), then I'll further delve into the enb+sweetfx pipe to see why this doesn't work for everyone.
Sorry for the trouble, didn't expect it as everything works fine for me .
Even after a full restart everything still works fine for me. Very odd.
I uploaded a new version where I changed how the plugins interact. If you still can bear with me, please download it and try it with that one (same link as before, in first post). You can DELETE the "d3d9_sweetfx.dll" prior/after doing that, that file will be obsolete.
Other, more generic questions for you with trouble: What OS you run on? What gfx card do you have? Are you uptodate on your graphic drivers?
