During this probation period, you will not have the ability to enact faction rights described under Section 4 of the Discovery Server Rules. FACTIONS WARNED
The following factions aren't currently meeting the activity requirement of 30 hours:
[RoS]
You have 30 days to raise your activity above the minimum levels or your status will be revoked at the time of the next check.
(SR~ were going for officialdom but were denied a month or two ago.
AGS- has disbanded as Jansen already said some time ago, splitting it up between LWB and Unioners again.
As Mercarryn already said, AGS turned into 2 factions, Unioners and LWB. Jansen asked also to give LWB official status, but farmers still got no answer from admins about that.
Well ALG consistently had over 30 hours for the entirety of the month until quite literally two days ago, where strangely 8 hours disappeared from the tracker. I suppose it was just bad timing, in addition to the activity check coming when quite a few of our members had finals among other things.
I have always allowed real life to come before disco within my faction, however ALG's popularity has never been that great. Perhaps I was too lenient on my faction members in regards to logging. But I'd like to imagine this was a game to have fun and roleplay in, not a second job.
But perhaps the almost draconian rules regarding activity in general should be reconsidered? Especially in regards to faction popularity, server population, and time of the year. Its in a bit of bad taste to kill a faction off before the changes are implemented to 'fix' said faction no?
Gentlefood, see it from this side: ALG has lost its offical status, but it can still exist as an unofficial faction, if you and the other members are willing to continue.
I'm fully aware of that, and its likely that it will continue to do so in such a manner. However I'm just a bit annoyed at the circumstances surrounding the whole thing.
Edit: Either way I'll keep the faction running until .87 where I'll try to give it another shot at officialdom(If the changes I think/hope are implemented actually are). If it fails then its probably the end for ALG. Its been a fun and long run, but factions like ALG have always been struggling with the current requirements. With the times being what they are, its only become harder not easier.
