On or about 2000 SMT today forces of the RNC entered the Texas system for the express stated purpose to attack Liberty Navy forces. At this time Judge forces were undergoing training in the Texas system as we have been doing twice a week for over a year. There was a cease fire agreement between Rheinland forces and Judges forces as we are not and never were a part of the Liberty Navy.
At 2010 a Rheinland cruiser opened fire on Judge Alpha in Texas, resulting in his taking evasive maneuvers. The six Judges and Cadets present saw this and responded, helping in no small part in the complete and total annihilation of all Rheinland forces in Texas.
Rheinland entered Liberty space and fired on a non-military group in that space. They did this with a prior cease fire agreement in force between the two groups. These are facts. Now what I wish to know is do cruiser Captains routinely break diplomatic agreements between established powers, or was this a simple and tragic mistake made by one excitable cruiser Captain? While I know the power of Rheinland is great, the Judges are a trained force and should you deem us enemies, we would make a far greater impact than the six heavy bombers that were in this battle.
We do NOT want Rheinland as an enemy. However our right to travel or train where we wish shall NOT be infringed upon in any way, by any one. Either the cease fire agreement between us is in force and today’s battle was a tragic misunderstanding, or it is not and you have gone to war with the Judges. The decision is yours.

First things first: The Rheinwehr Oberkommando does not, and never has, condoned attacking non-combatants during our offensives. Our enemy is Liberty and not any unaffiliated groups operating therein.
However, the only 'fact' I can gather from your transmission is that you openly admitted engaging a Rheinland strike force, which constitutes an act of aggression against the Bundesrepublik Rheinland. To settle this matter, as well as prove that you only acted in self-defense, I need evidence of the Kapitän's misconduct forwarded to me via this channel.
However, I can assure you that Rheinland does not seek any unnecessary hostilities with the law-abiding citizens of Sirius and hope that the further investigations into this matter, should the Kapitän actually have fired first, will reveal that it indeed was only a tragic misunderstanding.

This is the response to two peace envoys sent to New Berlin. Your Pirate Gepard even called to us to wait at New Berlin for him. The attack was unprovoked, unwarranted and completely out of order.
This is the second time in a week that Judicial forces have been attacked by Rheinlander military forces, once in Liberty and now in Rheinland. Both attacks were by Gepard. We demand an explanation of this unprovoked aggression. We give you 96 hours to reply. Lack of a reply will force a reappraisal of our stance with the Rheinland military.

Incorrect sir. He is the Captain of a Rheinland cruiser apparently allowed by Rheinland Military (RM). I do not care if you gave it to him or charged him his first born for it, he is Captain of a Rheinland cruiser. As such, he is the responsiblity of the RM and for good or ill, a representative of the RM. I am a Richter and know all about legal nicities. However, in the end when a man gives a fool a loaded gun and the fool kills with it, the law holds the man who gave the loaded gun as the guilty party.
If the Captain of the Gepard is a some sort of renegade then remove his RM arsenal. If he is not, then accept responsibility for the situation you created as well as the consequences. 78 hours are remaining.
Forgive my ignorance Sir. What does a Rheinland cruiser with the title RNC or MND fly for. Are they pirates? Are they independent? Are they civilians? How do they come to fly Rheinland military hardware? As I write this RNC tagged ships are nosing about Manhattan and Texas. Are they traders?
Again, it is not the fool firing a loaded gun and killing someone who is guilty of murder, it is the person who gave the fool a loaded gun. Who, Admiral Weissman, gave this fool a loaded gun? 26 hours remain.

Herr Judge Logan,
I'd like to bring your attention to their identification. If you'd scan them correctly, - what you obviously didn't, you'd find out they carry the identification code of the MND (Marinenachrichtendienst) besides RNC (Rheinland Navy Capital ship). Their superiors can be reached by this comm-link. Then again, we're sorry for the incident, though those are not our units.
Admiral Weissman has informed me that the Rheinland Military does not take responsibility for the RNC or MND. As near as I can tell, no one is taking responsiblity for them at all. However, the RM seems to have no trouble outfitting them. I will take this information to our Senior Council for their deliberation. 25 hours remain.
