Pets and Animals in Sirius?

So ye, what kind of animals could there be in Sirius... I reckon that the current wildlife, fauna and flora which is found on some of the inhabited planets are way different from the one which existed on Sol so there we have some kind of aliens and stuff like that...

But, I came to think, what if the people on board the Sleeper Ships took some animals with them as well which they put into hibernation the same way they hibernated. I mean, it would make sense a little bit, as the people wouldn't be sure if they could find wildlife to make livestocks so they took their own just in case, and you also had people which had their beloved canine friend, cat, horse etc( Similar to how people brought animals from Europe to America when they were colonizing it)

So ye, could there be animals brought from Sol and not only wildlife which originates from the current inhabited planets?

I guess some people took their pets with them.

Ah and there is "Gaian Wildlife" for example. Don't know what other sirian animals exist. But I there must be a whole lot for sure.

So I guess chickens, cows and pigs are acceptable...

Well, one of my characters has a dog inRP, which is supposedly descendant of a whole line of dogs that were bred from ones that have been brought to Sirius on board of the sleeper ships. As already stated above - not too far-fetched for humans to bring at least some of their animal companions when heading into the unknown, at least in my opinion.

As for the animals native to Sirius: My memory is a bit cloudy here, but I remember reading something about a Piranha-shark in one of the infocards of a planet in Rheinland.

Most certainly life on planets that were already suitable to support life would develop in simmiliar way to Earth, if given simmiliar environment.

"Planet" Akabat mentions reptile and mammal creatures and moon is dominated with cold deserts and savannas.

Venomous Holstein sea serpent, which makes sea farming very difficult. It's not in the infocards, we know about it from missions, sometimes you can get mission to retrieve serpent's concentrated venom from some unlawfuls, who plan to use it in production of biological weapon.
