Well, I've some questions about Artificial Intelligence on this server
Quote:- Can actively hunt pirates and terrorists in systems that do not contain a jumpgate but cannot do so in systems that do contain a jumpgate.
Ok, so who're pirates and terrorists? Outcasts and Corsairs? Ok.
What about Order and Nomads?
And actually, how can AI and Nomad roleplay? AFAIK, Nomads're "talking" by projecting images and emotions directly to human mind. And how're AIs "talking"?

Nomads can't speak to AI.
I personally tend to adapt to them by describing what my Nomad does in response to them. I.e. if they're causing aggressive behavior with whatever they're doing, I'll describe the change in my Nomad's attitude (energy surging towards the weapon appendages or something).
As for using it to actually go around and hunt things.. Think about what you want your AI to be and do. I'm not very fond of the AIs people create purely to go around and hunt Corsairs / Outcasts / Whatever as some sort of Omicron Police Force.
Along with a few other ships to join the Omicron pewfest, I was planning on making an AI Drone with some sort of corrupted programming that of course allowed it to shoot whatever it could be ID.
Of the factions out there, you have (as far as I know):
Order, Nomads, Wilde, RoS, SCRA all defined as Terrorist by rules.
Outcast, Corsair and Pirate ID as Pirate by rules.
Core, LSF, MND and KPT as Lawful by rules.
So you can either RP yourself as being made by the latter group to shoot the first two, or simply something that shoots a list of targets in the top two groups.
I remember reading somewhere that AIs were essentially invisible to Nomads. But I guess that's up to each player

Gray area, many potential loopholes to pew everything you see with RP interpretation of a faction. We need a list of what qualifies as terrorist, pirate, etc rulewise.
I said it lots of times but will say again - AI shouldnt hunt all pirates and terrorist that they can meet in systems without a JH. especially Corsairs, who have A CAPITAL SYSTEM right next to your planer. AI should pick enemies by his RP and only that. Not like - Im corrupted/hacked/broken I kill everything on sight with my uber good AI tech just because my ID says I can. And AI NEVER think they are civilian savers, omicron police, vigilant or BHG Core tools to kill. AI from Gammu is own society of robots who try to survive, learn and grow. not just make all sirius as hostile cuz they can.

A better solution would be to make the AI ID useful again.
I still do not understand why they should be restricted to fighting pirates. This limits the way you could RP an AI in too many ways.
A better solution could be the following:
Vessels carrying this ID are controlled by an artificial intelligence, who :
- Cannot demand Credits
- Can demand cargo in systems that do not contain a jumpgate but cannot do so in systems that do contain a jumpgate.
- Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within systems that do not contain a jumpgate but cannot do so in systems that do contain a jumpgate.
May not fly any ships with more than 4,200 cargo space.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Gunboats, Transports, AI Drone and AI Cruiser.
This wouldnt really give the AI ID more power then other pirate IDs, while it would still have the possibility to be played as friendly ID.
I agree with Jansen ID yes. Attacking lawfuls (such as BHG Core and LSF) would be useful for some AIs. For mine especially, sinse it have BHG as enemy inRP. but I no more AI player. maybe again someday ...

About corrupted software... My suggestion that AI can attack any ship everywhere in RP , regardless of ID , but you have to RP before with targeted ship. IDea is that AI bring some logicall inconsistence in conlculison , either by his logic or flawed logic of other in conversation which will head to logicall conclusion that other ship had to be destroyed.
Like hall 9000 in space odyseya. However it needs much of time and other side willing to RP. It seems hard, but when you use imagination, you will find it is possible.
Prior to that i suggest you practice AI rp. Possible tips are to somehow deduct purpose of existence to probabilistics of 0-1 bitcodes, where emotions, self awareness or such things are irrelevant for manifestating existance, as informations get preserved in any kind of state (life or death). Thus there is no difference beetwen "living" or "unliving" as information get never lost in process.
Use imagination and break the rules ! ***pshht!***
Well the AI ID doesn't let you engage without RP, not that I would anyway. Was thinking more HK-47 for the basis, and unlike some who think it should be "beep boop, pew pew pew" or similar you can of course have a high-functioning AI.
Pirates are ones who extort valuables against traders, and terrorists are ones who hunt (xenophobic people) targets of their own. So if someone try to escape to a system with a jumpgate while your engaging him, dont go to that system. Simple as that.
Order and Nomads dont usually pirate, so they're not considered pirates. But Outcasts and Corsairs usually pirate, so you can hunt them, as long as you see them pirating (if not in a system with a jumpgate).
