Encoding video using Handbrake to reduce file size (aka the first thing you see when you Google the phrase "handbrake yify") <-useful for archiving your long ass gameplay videos

These are two general purpose guides not written specifically for disco, however they should be helpful for some people. Hopefully someone will find these guides useful for when they deal with video editing...

dxtory + mjpeg2000 helped me save a ton of disk space when recording (go for x264 if you have the hardware).
I use premiere elements cuz I'm stupid, and it's really easy to use, coming from an ex-movieplus user.
I understand how audacity is super awesome for recording and audio editing (I've recorded lame tracks on audacity myself), but its just not really neccesary for normal gameplay recording, unless you're making studio quality machinima with premium audio
