Fumbling with his glass, Andrew slightly inclined his head and looked the man straight in the eyes. Kreuzberg was the first place I paid a visit when I first came here. There're Junkers, and they smell.. which makes me feel uncomfortable. Sooner or later the Kanzler's henchmen will be aware of my regular presence there, that's why I need several places I can dive down to for a while. If not your Bundschuh then maybe the Hessians will grant me docking rights on their bases, and they do have bases."

The freelancer stopped writing in his data pad, and put it back in his pocket. He decided there couldn't be much harm in striking up a conversation. Friends, after all, can be hard to come by. He decides to walk up to the man sitting at the bar, as he didn't seem to be much as a threat.
A man with bluish skin enters the bar. He had troubles getting himself forward, as if he never had learnt to walk properly. Near a seat at the bartable, he falls into a chair with a deep sigh. He opens his mouth to speak to the bartender, but before a single word left his lips, the bartender gives him a glass of water and says:
"Here's your water, sir. No, I haven't seen that professor, called 'David Campbell'. Since when do you miss him?"
The mans green-colored eyes glowed full of suprise. He tries to reply, but the bartender already answers:
"You've been asleep for over 11 weeks? Lying in a tank of that missing scientist and..."
He paused.
Suddendly he noticed, that the stranger hasn't talked a single word with him yet.
He stares at him.
"How... how did you - what have you done... my thoughts! Leave me alone! Get out of my mind! ARGH!"
In a rush the bartender turns around and throws down the glass. The stranger screams and runs out of the bar, followed by a doozen scared views from other people in the bar.
"And don't you dare even touch it!" Veronica shouted after the dock worker who was in charge of the bay she had managed to maneuver her ship into. Ducking his head, the worker ran back to his colleagues who were by now laughing at how a young woman had made him scurry like a beaten dog.
Veronica wasn't usually a particularly harsh person. But she just couldn't stand the idea that someone might hurt her baby, her ship. Her Bull Dog. Taking a few deep breaths to regain her posture and, despite her rather dirty flight suit, make the impression of being a lady, she entered the station's bar. There didn't seem to be much going on, so she walked right over to the bartender, ordered a drink, and sat down at the table farthest away from all the other patrons.
A man entered. Judging from the old fashioned military uniform without any insignia under his long leather coat, he could be either a freelancer or a mercenary. His hat and eyepatch gave him a usual look in such places.
I hope she's still here - he thought when he was walking towards a poorly lit table. As soon as he sat down and took his cigarettes out from his pocket, he noticed her at the bartender. He stared at her for a few seconds while lighting his cigarette.
*She noticed someone sad down a few chairs next to her, she looks to the person who sad down, just for a second she saw an old Military Uniform...*
meeeh... Why I'm not surprised*She pushes a bottle of beer to the person next to her*
Well isnt the right place for us, if they would know who we are we would be dead in seconds.*she points at her Pistol under her jacket* Just be prepared old friend... This place isnt very safe I believe, but at least nobody will know I'm here. So its the best place within the Rhein...
So why did you follow me. *she smiles, allready expecting the answer*
Sipping at her drink - something that the bartender had referred to as "Apfelschnapps" - Veronica noticed another stranger enter the bar. A man in an old military uniform. She involuntarily shivered when she made out the eye-patch that covered part of the man's face.
He sat down a few chairs away from another patron, a woman, who started a conversation with the newcomer.
Veronica leaned back in her seat, took another sip of the "Schnapps," and watched.
*she nearly spits her whole Bier over the bar, but in the same moment she tries to laugh, unsuccesfull*
You're kidding me right now, arent you? I can understand if you dont want to tell me the truth, then I will find it out by my self, but dont lie to me friend, I think we dont need to do so.
*she lights a cigarette*
Well, you said it cannot be confirmed to 100 percent, so there is still a chance to find her allive?
Well I'm a little bit sad now, I mean I had so much hope I could find her, and know she turned into a mindless thing... I dont know what to do know, how my life should go on... I mean, how happened it... I cant believe it at all...
*she takes a sip out of her bottle*
