Since I cannot use Recruit ID ( because it states trading is not allowed ) I am wondering if there are exceptions to these types of situations.
I guess in both scenarios It somehow violetes the rules and I can't pick which one is worse, but perhaps it would be better to allow Recruit IDS to trade ( if it is heading towards a trading/mining faction).
You could have asked someone who can obtain the ID you are looking for to fetch it for you. Afaik it is allowed to carry more than one ID of the same type for exactly those purposes.
Also, i see no reason to allow the recruit ID to trade, if you merely use it to fix your rep to buy another ID.
Letter of the rule actually does not allow for this, although if it's just to get another player on the right ID, folks are unlikely to be sanctioned for it. If you're moving around in space with more then 2 IDs in your hold that's another matter...
Anyway, original poster: It's not that hard to get an ID from one of the trader factions. You don't need to be a member of a player faction in order to carry the ID in most cases (the ID will say so if you do, but that't a rarity).
As for "trade enabled recruit IDs", what exactly is the problem with picking up a Universal, Bowex, Gateway, Samura, Kishiro, IDF, Republican, Interspace, ALG... I could go on but you get the point... ID? Sure, most of them have a rephack or two limiting where they can go, which the Zoner IDs do not have - but that is why the Zoner ID has a docking limitation.
There are no "can dock everywhere and is neutral to everything and may carry 5K cargo" IDs. If that is what you're asking us to make, you're basically asking for an universal powertrader ID, and that's just not going to happen.
No, I did not ask for that, Im not even asking im simply raising a point
Perhaps trading factions can have a Recruit ID that can trade ( cuz its a trade faction ) - nearly a suggestion, thats all

Well as i read it, rules have been changed so that they now only prohibit carrying multiple different IDs.
Quote:6.1 Every player must have an ID equipped on his or her ship. Carrying multiple different types of IDs in a player ship is prohibited.
Also i think i remember an announcement stating that buying the same IDs multiple times to transfer them would not be illegal any more, although i can't find it right now.

Would, but some folks have pre-conditions; like "bring us 2 loads of XXX"; show us you are serious - personaly I can't be bothered too much about this.
Join IC| send me your Skype name, and I'll talk to the leader. IC| is easy for the most part to get into. And it allows 5ks.

Why would they have to do that?
You can buy the ID without having to be in the Faction, just buy it and go trading.

This right here is the whining that Agmen was referencing. Instead of doing things the right way, you are complaining because you can't do them either of the two easiest. There's a reason for the rules that the community has in place. As Agmen said, you aren't going to be given an exception to the rules simply because you can't be bothered to follow them.
And yes, I did read the whole thread. You're a whiner who wants things without having to work for them, or to follow our rules. And I'm not politically correct, so I'm calling you on it. Got an issue with someone having a spine to stand up to your self-righteous bullying of others?
To AD - It's been stated that you can have multiple copies of your own ID, to trade to people. Due to the way that rule 6.1 was re-worded, this is now acceptable.
Quote:Carrying multiple different types of IDs in a player ship is prohibited
In other words, you can carry more than one copy of your OWN credentials (ID), but you can't carry credentials from another group. (And that would even include something like me with a bounty hunter ID'd ship, I couldn't carry Core ID as well - but I could carry a couple of extra bounty hunter ID's so that if some criminal scum of a pirate decided to go legit, I could give them to him in space so he could dock and 'change his colors'.

First, agmens right, just follow the rules, dont buy a ship with more than 3.6k before getting the right ID, if you cant be bothered, its your own fault.
2nd Aert, isnt Taelsin right? Recruiting with multiple IDs of the same type is allowed now isnt it?
3rd, Isnt OSI the land anywhere with any ship neutral to all ID?

Indeed. This has been answered. There is no "recruit trader" ID because the Recruit ID already fills that purpose. You rep up and take an ID before you commit to a ship that exceeds the limitations of the Recruit ID, not the other way around. If you want to trade inside house space on a Zoner ID, use a transport ship with <3600 cargo space. If you keep docking inside house space on a Zoner ID, we'll be happy to shrink your ship for you via the admin console.
