My father was an IMG Miner, He'd been selling his ores to the nearby stations. That was until an outcast jumped to Tau-23 and opened fire on him.. that was all we got from the black box that was left on his ship. Lets just say I wish to honor his memory by trading.. I know it sounds.. odd to say the least but I feel I just need to do this, you know?
I'm sorry for the late reply, but due to the recent ion storms sweeping across the sector interstellar communication was nearly impossible.
We received your paperwork and it seems to check out. Therefore we would like to invite you for a personal interview at our headquarters at Gran Canaria.
Board and lodge will be paid for by OSI upon receiving the receipts.

Greetings to all fellas in OSI...
My name is David Starr, I'm a Zoner from my father lineage, but I was born on Planet Erie, were my dad decided to settle after he married a Liberty woman (my mom, in this case). He was a Zoner Free Trader on the Omegas. During the start of the Nomad War, the Liberty Space was not that friendly, so after 20 years stored on a hangar, I took my dad's Dromedary out (after a few repairs...) and started to Trade around the Omegas, and a little bit in Bretonia...
When the war was over, I came back to Erie to see how were things, and ended marrying an Erie woman, as my dad. I got a job as flight instructor for the LSF for a number of years (//until 4.85), then left and opened a flight school to train civilian pilots in combat to survive the encounters with the trade lane pirates around.
To cut it short: now I'm divorced and the life around Erie/Bethlehem is not that appealing to me anymore. I want to go back to the Border/Edge Worlds.
I have that Dromedary (now undergoing a major retrofitting), the Shooting Starr, as my dad named it, and I think it will fulfill the need for those small special deliveries that do not fit into one of OSI's standard packages... And I also am a happy owner of a Wasupu fighter (from the flight school), and I would be very interested in escorting the big deliveries when the Shooting Starr is not needed.
So I guess we could start with the OSI escort training (if you guys will accept me, of course), while the Shooting Starr finishes repairs and retrofitting the engines, hull and avionics, and then we can try some of that non-standard deliveries.
Thanks for your time and attention. Best regards,
David Starr
Chief Instructor - Starr Civil Flight School
Commander of the Zoner freighter Shooting Starr
We have received your application. Your background story seems to check out, therefore I see no need to put you in OSI's own school for escorts.
However, up to today we have had no need for a Dromedary Transport, because if you have do deliver a small amount of something to somewhere there is always something else to fill the rest of a whale's cargo hold with.
Therefore, with regard to your background, I will take the liberty of processing your application like you would apply for a full time escort pilot. If that is not according to your wishes please inform me immediately. But please keep in mind, that once your application has been accepted for either position, it is very easy to change from or to the transport division.
With that being said, I will instruct my secretary to send you some additional paperwork to your neural net. Please fill it out and return it to us at your earliest convenience.

"Bonjour!
I am a freelancer looking for a fixed escort job. I am currently flying a Spacial SHF around the Taus, trying to earn some credits. I used to be one of the top GRN bomber pilots, until my Cougar was met by three Council GBs. I disabled one and took half the hull of another before having to eject and be collected by a passing GRP patrol. Since then, I have left the GRN due to post-traumatic shock at the time, and went to Tau-23 to buy a Spacial and start freelancing.
I hope I will be accepted in the OSI escort training. Right now I am also capable of limited trading due to my 160 cargo space, but my principal focus is escorting.
Ah, and I nearly forgot: due to my past with the GRN, I currently am hostile (well they are hostile to me) to most (bretonia and liberty) house police & military, and some house corporations. I hope this does not interfere with me joining and that signing up will change these positively.
Au Revoir,
Marie."

We have received your application and due to your background story we need to discuss things with a higher, more secure, encryption such as the S.K.Y.P.3-encryption.
Nevertheless, you will need to pass through the usual application procedure and fill out the paperwork which my secretary will send you as soon as possible.
Nice to meet you, recruiter. I was born in New Tokyo, been a police. but nowadays, I'm civilian trader, flying with BWT.
I used to trade long range circuits, which include omicrons and then I felt it's funny to be omicrons. I love Gran Canaria too. Now, I want to be a trader of OSI.
Greetings, my name is Adam Valerus Johnson. I was born in Planet Erie. My father was a trader for the local Pennsylvania station. When I was a boy I always wanted to visit Planet Gran Canaria, my family and friends always told me it was a paradise. When I finally got enough credits to buy a Series YX freighter, I started trading like my father, who had passed away 2 years before.Eventually I got my hands on a Series DL medium transport, flew to Gran Canaria, and started trading in the borderworlds.
Continuing my trading career, I eventually sold my transport and got enough credits to set down and make a home in Canaria. But I figured space is my home. I now fly a Civilian shuttle around the Omega-49 system. My bank account has enough credits to buy a ZBT-100Z 2 Whale and buy the neccesary equipment for it, so there's no need for the company to supply me with a ship.
We have received your application and will send additional paperwork to your neural nets. We require to fill out the forms and return them to us at your earliest convenience.
If your application folder checks out you will be invited for a personal interview at our headquaters on planet Gran Canaria.
