The T71 is a beast of a tank, I want one really badly. Though, HE shells from a Chaffee destroys it no problems.

It is a pretty damn good passive scout, tho.

No, the Chaffee view range is the best in the game for a tier V or anything similar.

The T71 is so much fun indeed. Recently elited it, but it's a keeper for me.

It does look epic fun, jump into a battle from the rear, slam the shells home and bug out. Does the forced ACPR ammo cost a lot? This basically kills this tank's long range ability since the penetration drop off from composite is very high.

Nah, the price is fine, but it is hardly a moneymaker, heh heh.
It does suffer a LOT when it comes to mid-long range combat, I even had troubles penning an IS from 400m. Up close, however, the APCRs work wonders. You can even dissect a Maus from the rear.

I got disconnected in a brawl and while exposed to various arties/TDs.

When I log back in, I've lost only 25% of my health and am far away from the fight, my brawl opponent a smoking wreck where I left him.

Now that's some luck.

Edit: Just tried platooning with my dad. My god it makes a massive difference. We've been rolling over team after team in our tier 7 heavies.

Bought the Indien Panzer. The grind looks like it's gonna be horrible; good thing I stocked up on a bit of free xp before the patch.

Short 88 on a tank with a 12.5 hp/t ratio at tier 8.

Edit: Got the top gun, still rolling around like a snail though. Loving it.
The gun is a great all rounder, 8 rpm, 0.34 accuracy, 212 pen, 240 damage. Can punch through super pershings quite easily.
The armour is fun, it's not always reliable, but triple bouncing an IS-6 at close range while having 75 health was priceless.

Edit 2: Looked at the armour scheme, no wonder it's unreliable. The front edge is 90mm, the top half of the same plate is 60mm. The lower sides are 90mm at a nice angle (but they're covered by the tracks, so people are likely to shoot above), but again the upper edge is 60mm.

The mantle is a nice 130mm, but there's nothing behind it! On the very edges you'll get the combined 220mm, which cause many bounces. So if you've got a pen of 150+, shoot the thing right in the face!
