I recently found out about a game called Artemis. Basicly its a Spaceship bridge simulator. If you watched Star Trek or Battlestar Calactica, you know what I mean.
So here is how this game plays out.
The spaceship crew consists of several people, I think about 6.
Every one has his own station and parts of the ships he controls.
Like navigation, weapons, communication, etc.
And of cource theres a capitan, who gives out orders but cannot command the ship directly.
You can watch this video to get a better idea for the game.
Artemis currently supports only LAN.
I'm thinking, if some of you want to try, we can make lan party and give it a shot.
There are several programs that connect users via LAN. Like Hamachi and Tunggle. We can use them to connect and play.
It's incredibly boring once you learn the game. There's no complexity to any of the mechanics. It's just click this one button every ten seconds. And that's for the weapons or navigation people. Comms or science just stares at the map and clicks at things.
Recently grabbed a copy of Artemis, its not a bad game, not at all. Granted its important to have communications over skype or something related, but it is not a bad game at all.
Sure this is a bit late, but perhaps a co-op game with multiple bridges may work out as I have a crew of my own
Edit: Just realized how bad that flows when you read it, apologies. Pretty sleepy right now.
