I do ave a question: i heard many concerns from Colada del Cid users that by taking them away the Corsairs will lose out on one of their trademark abilities as well as the shield busting battle with the Outcasts and other Torp-slot deshielders.
A common setup is to use only one Colada and fill the rest of the slots with Hullbusters, losing out little on shield-damage in comparison to the 2xShield 4x Codie setup, the other well liked setup. So the question is this: Will the Corsairs lose their trademark, will they get a proper replacement/alternative for it and so on. While having faction specific bomber guns is nice and shiny we don't see yet why there s a need to replace the perfectly fine bomber energy guns.
Yes i realize you said there will be a surprise for the guns in the next mod, but i would greatly appreciate it if our fears could get lessened or at least confirmed so one can adapt.

You'd need to discuss that with AD, not the balance team, and since that's not really a balance change, it's rather irrelevant to this thread as well.

That's still under consideration and haven't been decided yet. Bomber EMP for Nomads would be the most likely for now.

Improvement to that EMP guided torpedo which currently noone uses since it's too short range, and too low on damage? Additional bomber main weapons such as a short range beam lance to allow them to deal with highly agile gunboats - and give SHFs an interesting new main weapon against sluggish fighters?
The EMP torp is getting proper stats. The 4.86 version was just a failed attempt.

How are those declared incidentally? Liberty = Flashpoints, Bretonia = Purple Goddess (and needs a class 7->6 of those), Kusari = new Neutron, Rheinland = new Plasma?
Nope. Flashpoint & Goddess will be staying as Sirius-wide civi gear. Each house will be getting their own civilian gun.
Matter of sell point would be something you'd have to discuss with Blodo, as he's the one taking care of that part of the work when it comes to new guns.

Already done, even though it was a complete headache since those guns are just completely out of norm.

Was already discussed, but decided to be left for later updates rather than the initial 4.87 release.

Even though the Corsairs will lose their "trademark" cl10 shieldbuster, the overall changes made to their gear will increase their combat performance by far and would appeal to Corsair players after they get over the fact that their least-used gear now has a functional role in a different field.
Plus, before the bomber changes in 4.85, Colada was mainly used as a bomber weapon and that was its intended role.
Since you changed the speed for some of the guns, will you also change the dps accordingly to balance that out or will the speed increase just be a straight upgrade?

Fighter weapons were revised from the very beginning with new projectile speeds in mind. Doesn't matter what stats a gun might have had, long as the new stats fit its role as intended.
So from what i have seen/read i understand that the general direction balance is going is faster snub fights and more powerfull vhfs. Is that true? And will missile trails be removed?
