Some things simply dont belong here.
We've allowed weirder RP than that.
I could see someone making a Robo-pony faction, could be fun.
Also, Stories are meant for that kind of stuff. I was thinking of making a fictional storyline for Sirius in 850 AS based on the current storyline, but I don't want an Admin locking my thread.

[20:44] Avalanche (Greg/Pharos): Yeah, I ****ing know serbian.
[20:45] Domjan1911: YUGOSLAVIAN YUGOSLAVIAN!
I missed out on the action. Getting caught up. If my suggestion was taken seriously this topic and that closed thread wouldn't even be happening. I'm cool with new faction being created and playing in Disco, but I'm of the opinion that when they shut down (and aren't one of the canon factions) everything should be deleted in it's entirety, utterly and completely. It's senseless to see players and admins fighting over materials that the original creators had the good sense to toss into the import garbage with the other imports long long ago. A situation I predicted and know will be the case in the future with other names such as SCRA, HF and CR. If they are still active and doing stuff, cool, welcome to Disco. If they fold and it's over and done with, the delete key is a handy thing.... Keep in mind it's hard for me to declare a faction has folded merely because a disgruntled jaded leader has a fit. As long as the faction prerequisites are met and they offer us a head to communicate with, the faction lives in my opinion. I'm not a fan of =CR= but I'm not a fan about how it was folded either when it had it's original members still wishing to play on with a head to offer us. I wasn't an admin then, however.

This approach, while neater, also kills some of what makes Disco Disco....it's history and player-driven lore that makes our story a lot more interesting than vanilla's.
Speaking of which, why is everyone so bent on maintaining Vanilla lore? First off, vanilla lore sort of sucked. It felt unfinished to say the least.
We're twenty years beyond vanilla. If it's plausible and not entirely outrageous lore wise, and doesn't harm server gameplay, let peeps have their fun.
I agree and when they are done, they are done. I wouldn't turn down a faction just because it's not Vanilla and when leading GMG I was probably one of the friendliest to indies and unofficial factions trying new RP. Fighting over someone's stuff that they already threw in the garbage yrs after the fact is beyond silly though. Which is what has happened concerning the Phooms for yrs now. It's mainly our mistake for keeping reminders hanging around, even that thread by an old admin saying to not mention Phoom ever again is fail. I can't rewind time though and here we are. The other factions mentioned are still going and you don't see me kicking them off the server even though I have the tools to do so. This is because I agree that player made lore is cool sometimes. But when they are done, they are done. Like really when Phooms chose to go to the trash can rather then remake it from an import to something that is part of Disco, they really chose the trash can themselves. We just never finnished cleaning up because servers other then Disco here still uses the materials... It's bitten us hundreds of times since.

I agree about rehashing old crap, but I would rather their stories not be erased from disco lore. It's what has brought us to where we are today.
I wholeheartedly agree that we should let the phantoms die, die, die....
I don't agree we should erase every reference to their existence though.
