You know, I'm partly guilty of having a capship (independant) but I don't whore it out, in fact I rarely bring it out.

But if it could solve some issues and the SA asked me to I'd get rid of it... , though me selling my little cruiser won't change a thing..

Yup, just fought them in NY.
They all died in 30 seconds, once Goliath and some USS boys showed up.
They deserve to get fined.
Can't remember the names though, except that Praefact was "Something.Debris".
And that Cruiser was raiding NY since i logged this morning. Horrible.

Well it goes the other way as well...

yesterday with LH we pirated some trader on the edge of California.... within 20minutes there were:
BS, 4 GBs, 6++ fighters... against 4 ships... for every independent whom we killed.. two new arrived.

Yes ...this is true.I concider myself a "indi", but try to put on my best RP face when i play,backing up Navy or LSF/LPI when called, in the defense of Liberty space.Its getting to the point where when I log in,I look to see who is where first, and then i might not even launch...I just exit the game.I'm sorry ,but as an Indie, I have been on here for a few months...some know me,some dont.In the beginning when i was new, I made the classic mistake(against Hoodlum, of all people) of re-engaging with a capship when he attacked my trader in tau-31 back in the bad old days.Long story short,he helped set me straight,and for that I am thankful.But I have seen many,many changes in the way people play on here in my short time.I have spent alot of time watching and listening......and i have to agree.Cap ships should be ALMOST out of reach of somebody that has just come on the server and has no idea of how things operate here,at least untill they can prove themselves.Especially if all they are looking for is PvP...thats what the other server is for...not here.We have enough of that with the occasional Rouge or Outcast or Lanehacker....but thats their RP aspect of it,and thats what makes it fun,or trying to catch the smuggler that you know is bringing in artifacts or cardimine.Its the classic cat and mouse game.Sometimes you win,sometimes the smuggler wins.Thats how the game is played.But i also understand the unique problem that New York has...we are the starting point for the game and that is its own set of problems.Sorry if i ramble on, but i dont post much in the forums.I like to think that if i do post something,its important,and maybe somebody will listen.Ok, will somebody kick the soapbox out from under me?

One big difference.
Liberty authorities have business in Magelan.
Corsairs don't in NY.

Now, I agree that LH are being attacked by massive fleets, totally unneeded.
LPI will never chase you to Magelan, be sure of that.
Only populated systems, and preferably, populated areas (around planets, stations, trade lanes).
And i don't doubt they all died, so, what's the problem?;)
That is exactly the thing they need, a faction to blast them to pieces.
Until they realize that they are doing it all wrong.

Ignoring them doesn't work, they can kill you easy if you ignore them, and also, theres a big enough community of such people that they can find others like themselves, and have plenty of fun, takeing our server, and our playerslots, in a direction towards void that I presume we don't want.

The problem with these independents is not just the fact that they have capships, its the fact that they don't RP.

Dieter, if it is true that these independents showed up for the Corsair/Liberty fight, then the situation is even worse. It means that these people are getting on the forums, except that they don't have the ounce of responsibility or maturity to participate.

Either that, or they don't speak english.
