So the LH are now having a pirate ID rephack now as well?
As a leader of a pirate faction in Liberty I find this to be some bull. We have good ties with the LH. Come next version we won't be able to dock with the bases?
Read it again.
There is not a single mention of the Hackers doing something like this, its merely a hint that people willing to play a pirate on good terms with the Rogues have to choose a different ID in the future.
I'd like to see a rebel indie pirate swarm making life difficult for Rogues; now that Rogues made life difficult for them.
Pirate on pirate action, oh yeah!
In-RP I can understand that this is a radical move from an erratic leader, but at the same time it's opening up a can of worms that's gonna make Rogues and their businesses suffer. So yeah, it's a roleplay move, but not one of logic or sense.

But the thing is, it's so fun when pirates team up with us and vice versa.
So no more indie pirates as allies... hmmm.
Gj, alienating our possible allies vs navy cap spams.

Yes,that could happen,or not..
But i think that pirate id roleplay should be more used to pirate traders and whatever moves that they could make a profit from it
However in liberty most pirate id players no longer pirate traders but more just go to kill LNS caps, which i believe it's a problem
LNS should've been dealt with by the faction that owns liberty[unlawfully] and that's LR/LH ID
*I don't think this measure will stop this, but rather make things slower/happens on rarer occasions, compared to overtaking the job of unlawful in those areas as it is now
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
That's true. But if the intent is to get all the Indie pirates to use Rogue ID's if they want to pirate in Liberty, I just wanted to point out it's definitely not going to make life easier for the LNS, as the Rogues are allowed to kill Navy players without piracy demands.

Which makes how much of a difference?
It's not hard to make a demand of say four million, which no sane LN ID'd ship will pay, and then engage.
Ignoring how ridiculous that is in roleplay, it happens a lot.
Keep in mind that the Pirate ID is for Freelance Pirates. You could fight with the LN against the LR for your own benefit (such as them letting you fly free or hiring you to help). You'd just have to be careful not to be seen pirating by the LN (or just pirate in another House/Region).
Also, these factions are just examples; it could work in other cases as well.
"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
