Yeah I have 3 that need only about 10 minutes work done not counting the equipment/commodities stuff (another hour there). I was actually gonna ask, Igiss do you want me to do the equipment commodities or you do it to avoid making uber-trade routes.
I think the models of the House VHFs don't differ from the HFs.
If you could make some better looking, new VHFs for the Houses....

Not the same... but u could look at the models and make them your own way, akind of .... copy ^^
And Bombers for all Houses would be a good addition to the "normal" Fighters.
On a personal level, we should be able to choose the engine style we'd like to see on our ships. For instance, we could see factions that have ships matched to their team "color", and could be easier to designate and show flair.
For traders, what would be nice are some upgrades to the cargo or to preserve cargo items. Adding an upgrade would mean increasing maximum cargo by a percentage (of course, a hefty price would prevent many traders from getting these types of upgrades) or on a smaller scale, a refrigerator module of some sort to prevent luxury foods or aliens from dying too quickly (maybe even a 10% increase at maximum would be nice).
It could be a little TOO much, but why not specialized skins for each ship? To add to the engine colors, the ships can look close to, if not almost exactly like house ships would.
I know the following could be way too extreme, but you asked for suggestions, right? ;)
P.S - Why not have a special energy conserving turret/weapon class for those pesky low-energy capital ships?

I'd like to 2nd the stuff about traders :) The engine colours would be nice too.. but i think ship skins might be asking too much??
Also for us traders, how about a line of turrets, we get a set of "small transport turrets" that use no energy.. but they are pretty useless.. we can however fit Gunboat turrets.. altho not many as the energy useage is too high (maybe 1 or 2). What might be nice is a set of "large transport turrets" that are somewhere inbetween the small transport turrets and the gunboat ones in terms of dmg and energy use.
Hmm also.. While we are talking about traders.. what about mining? Currently there isn't much point to it.. but i was thinking the other day.. what if there was mining lasers that didn't do any dmg (like 1 shield 2 hull or something) either a beam or a fast firing gun like a chain gun, but the speical thing would be that when used on minable "rocks" instead of just droping one item they would drop more;
For example:
class 2 Mining laser..... Drops 5 items.
class 4 Mining laser..... Drops 10 items.
class 7 Mining laser..... Drops 25 items.
class 9/10 Mining laser..... Drops 40 items.
Anyway.. I say this not knowning how easy this might be.. so sorry if this is totally not doable.. i had no idea :)

That's been mentioned before, it's shut and locked to stop a fairly fast and very profitable trade-run.
