@everyone else: he's right. I know I've suggested an RP'd bomber group before, but giving PvP/cap whores a one-sided fight might just be a new challenge for them; what happens when they all start flying bombers and supernova'ing everyone who questions them? Ignoring them will probably have one of two effects; make them come to the forums and see that this is RP, not PvP (good outcome), make them quit (less good outcome, but still preferable to cap-whoring). Maybe just totally ignoring them is the way to handle it, although admittedly the phantoms have done a beautiful job in sigma-13...

Unselie completely, totally and utterly hit the nail on the head. When the Liberty Navy merges, Aidan's character will be Fleet Admiral of the entire Liberty Navy, not merely the Southern Navy. As such, it would look odd for people who aren't part of the Navy to claim to be part of it.

I think people are missing the point....They will be part of it.
Merely by buying a Navy ID, they will have joined Woolsey's faction.
He will own their balls.

But that only works for a few of the PVP whores here, and isn't really a solution.
Ignoring them...well, that doesn't work, because A: I just dont think we will, and B: if we do, we're going to have to stop whatever we were doing before they showed up for 4 hours, and C: I think there is enough of them that they will be able to turn any area we leave to them by ignoring and dieing into a mini-void.

My solution: A lockdown on ships without RP.

I might be a little bit new (couple months of play) but I don't think a lockdown on ships without an RP is really that great of an idea, since it would, most probably, overencumber the admins past the point of breaking....
I think its mainly the fact that OORP actions aren't really sanctioned anymore (Things like Rogues Gunboats in Omega 47 or Outcast Destroyers operating solely in Omega 49)....And also the fact that Cap ships aren't really restricted enough (Can you trade for a week? Gratz, you have a Dreadnought).... Once again, those sanctions might put a strain on the admins, but I think we can all agree that OORP traders and cappies aren't very good for the RP style of this server....The only solution I can think of is reinstituting OORP sanctions....But then again that's just me.....

The thing is, how can you monitors all these people? they are a lot, and youve got to check on the forum see if their story is indeed posted, etc.

Right,

Some of you have stated that we should ignore these guys in their Capital ships. Right, how do yo do that. Its hard to ignore a Cap ship thats firing you and draining you shields faster than a toilet that flushes.

The solution to this is not Admins job, its the different Factions Job. The TBH are busy sorting out our problem with indies in Cap ships, and so should the other Factions as well. Where the admins can come in is when these factions fail to do this. Now, their will be allot of squealing regarding the factions responsibilities over indies in their system, but this is RP.

Lets RP a little. Bear with me.

LSF Fighter, flying in Liberty, your Job, is the Security of your system and all traders and ships in that system. You come across an Non-Military Battle ship flown by a civilian? Now think to yourself, as a military pilot what will your actions be. Logically mine would be as follows:

WTF, military command come in, this is military Patrol Gamma 1, position E3 liberty space. I have an unmarked Battleship in liberty space. Requesting destroyers from Fort Bush to intercept.

Now, Standard military protocol, in the name of System Stability, Security and Logical thinking would dictate that this vessel be removed either by force or escorted out of the system, to become the next Factions problem. This way the LSF or whatever have complete control over the system. This way these indies will be thrown out of every factions ruling systems. Soon they will have nowhere to run, and maybe will get the Idea.

So What I am saying, NOT taking care of these guys is OORP in itself. Because in the RP world no self respecting Navy, Organization, Criminal house, Pirate Faction, Zoner Alien, Junker Scavenger, Nomad drifter or whatever faction you belong to would/should tolerate such a high security risk as an unmarked civilian flying anything bigger than a GB.

Now, does this not make RP sense? Or am I just missing the ball completely?

A total amen to that. Let's say Joe is a pilot in the USAF, and he encounters an unmarked F-16 in New York airspace. Aside from the whole no-fly-zone/9/11 debate, he would probably do this;

Vince biggest problem is,when you destroy all cap whores in NY,they move to texas,when you destroy all caps in texas,they move to cali. the same in gamma.when you froce them out of gamma,you have delta,minor,omgea41,omega5 etc full of cap ships.
