Born Thomas Eugene Cromwell IV on the LNS Mississippi, his father Thomas Eugene Cromwell III was a navy fighter pilot and his mother was a supply officer. At age 8 his father was killed by a pirate ambush from the lane hackers. His mother did her best to raise him after that but Thomas spent the next few years being introverted.
At the age of 11 his mother got remarried, he was a trade broker for a small company. Thomas spent the next few years between navy bases and trade stations. He was on a trade run with his setp-father when they where hit by a pirate raid on the way back to the New York system. There transport was nearly destroyed, saved by a passing navy patrol, watching the navy defenders flying by instilled a will into the young boy.
By 799 AS ENS Cromwell was on his first deployment with the Liberty Navy. Serving several tours in the Nomad Wars and volunteering for no less then 5 deployments aimed at the removal of different pirate groups threw out Liberty space. By 818 AS and 2 tours in the war with Rhineland Lt.Commander Cromwell was given command of the new wing of Avengers and tasked with guarding vital war supplies.
By age 41 he retired at the rank of captain, he then signed up with the USI and was appointed the CSO for the company.
