If that process happens while the player uses the Morph ID and ship, or the free Nomad ID and a different vessel is of less importance.
As it has been announced recently the whole multi-stage process is going away. Old stuff was way overcomplicated for no good reason whatsoever. Red tape to minimum and there'll be fixed time frame* from the moment you'll post your intent to join the faction till the decision is made whether you're accepted or denied.

Hmm.. didnt see one for K'hara here so I guess I'll start one.
Yesterday I was the victim of a metagame ambush (see chat log), which in its self is cheeky, but not what I found was frustrating. What bugged me was being shot immediately while I attempting to type a RP response. Again, irritating, but I tried to push through it and do the RP from my lifepod.
I got no response there to my RP messages and after I gave up, I got no response to my OOC query at the end to why he shot me when stationary typing.
Composit image of chatlog That would be a trail by forum, we dont do that kind of thing here.
-Jansen Edited.
I'm not after anything here, Just a reminder to people of RP more than "die!" before starting the shooting and maybe let the guaranteed dead victim plead for their life a bit if they're not trying to leg it.
Moved this over here, thats where it belongs. Next time please look a tad bit more carefully, this even has K'Hara in its name and has even been on the first page.

Thanks sorry. So noted. "Trial by forum" wasn't intended, I just linked image due to stating "provide evidence" in the main stuck thread. I'll edit the image accordingly. FYI search of "K'hara feedback" listed 34 pages of results. I just missed it at the very bottom of page 2. My fault
Like Alley has said, there is not much we can do about it unless it was an official K'Hara tagged vessel.
We do not have control over the indie nomads. As much as we would like it, there is no helping it. They fly around, shoot without proper RP, we cant control anything.
The K'Hara| on the other hand is enticed, if not always 'required' to at least have some Roleplay before any PvP, the only exception to this is if the K'Hara| member was already opened fire on.
If indeed this was a K'Hara| member, please drop me a private message with the details, I can see if I can sort things out. An Indie? Not anything I can do about it.
What that moment might be, and what circumstances might be given leading to that situation, are irrelevant.
See the sentence at the beginning.
As Keepers knew that, there's not much point in trying to force a difference to that now.
Other than that, to leave feedback and not just commenting on several parts read before...
K'Hara members are very well able to pull out the needed amount of roleplay that's expected from a member of such a factioned ID, and I hope to see more of them, in an even more consequent way.
Consequent roleplay might lead to shooting, might lead to disharmony, might lead to one side being left dying... but it always will provide a realistic environment.
And the day -this- faction loses that trait, is the day it should disband.
The one you did encounter.. was ME.. surprise..! well now seriously.. If i see the above I do not really have to add much more. But here I shall explain some.
From the start:
1. People always look at the chatlist.. I myself tried to avoid it for a long time, but even now im caught using it. Sometimes people use it to seek for RP or for whatever goal they have. In short what people can use they will use in their advantage. Same goes with TAGS on ships. If you encounter for example an official tag of an unofficial one you treat them both differently. Even if they are basically wearing the same papers (id). Yes it is stupid i have to agree as when sometimes people see red on the scanners its like RUN or if they are on a bigger ship then the other one its DAI.
2. As i stated in green messages. That ooRP we could speak yes. inRP not. as my char would not have the ability to transmit such long distance messages.
3. If you fly any ship you know that people might not answer back due to them being busy. I have had many encounters and the playing ended for me in an router problem. Something i have again these days it seems.
If you have more questions/remarks just pm me and i will answer it when i have time.
Edit:

On behalf of my IMG| member who complained, I would like to address Duv here:

Definitely wrong. You killed a ship at point blank range. The pilot ejected. The pod is still there, heading to the next base.
From the pod the player tried to rp with you.
After metagaming him, then insta-killing him with what gets close to a /l1 you could have had the decency to at least answer the rp afterwards.
I find the performance poor. Not so much the shooting, but denying rp even afterwards is poor form and makes the interaction look like a metagaming-lol-pew, which I guess it was.
