Just Remember Gentlemen, that the Corsairs have been in Sirius for a long time, and are Elite Pilots themselves. They have been trained and shaped through the years of battle. As they have never know peace.
Even your so Called Elite Navy Pilots are no Match for a Pilot in a Titan. And of course we would be using Alaska.
As for your whole Gun smuggler comparison, Area 51 is Protected by the US, a super power..while the Guns smugglers are a mere band of mercs. The Corsairs however are not a band of mercs. We are an organized Military Power, one of the more ruthless out there. So, we will be in alaska, and we will destroy Liberty ships trying to stop us. And if you want to stop us, I suggest you send some Human Controlled ships that way.
If alaska is so Secret, why is there a jump hole in it, and Why is the the Gate to New York not Locked.
thats however a player interpret this.
The gate is open because navy can enter it maybe?
However good a corsair pilot is in a titan, alone he is just worthless against a cruiser patrol. Unless you come with a real invasion armada, I seriously doubt you can enter the palce without being detected from a way or another.
Yes it is secret - just like area 51 is suposed to be secret, as I've mentionned.
Look, you can be as elite as you want - be the Kossak of modernity if you want, but even that, can't beat a super power. And Liberty is one. Liberty is probably thousands time richer than corsair should be, it can mobilize a force Corsairs cant match (since they are starving, obviously natality should be low)
If liberty cant win in a one on one fight with you, they CAN and WILL swarm you with their numbers. And they can afford to, because Alaska obviously has some of their most scret stuffs over there, and theyd defend it at all cost.
-oh and what does corsair being in sirius since a long time has anything to do? might i remind you liberty was the first settled? that corsairs made a long way from where the Hispania was downed until Crete, a harsh planet isolated from the rest of the world for centuries?
Um... the smugglers *are* the equivalent of gun runners or something thereabouts. You need stealth. Blasting your way in will only begin a war on multiple fronts, against Bretonia, Liberty and possibly Rheinland too, each of which have multiple planets of resources, people and ships, compared to the Corsairs' ownership of a single planet.
Smuggling implies sneaking through. Who in their right mind would buy what is essentially a useless trinket from someone that just blasted his way through a fleet?
Seriously, take Artifacts from Leon, through Bretonia into Liberty. Return with Counterfeit Software for Planet Cambridge, then shift Pharmaceuticals to Leon.
' Wrote:why?...California is in Liberty...in California there is California Minor, Planetform controled planet...Gaians fight Planetform...as for some terrorist attack on Cali Minor Gaians have some reason to be there...
If I remember correctly the gaians don't get past first tradelane junction in manchester. So they're not in cortez, or magellan and definately not in california, therefore liberty is far out of their ZoI.
______________
As for the continuing 'discussion' (read: full blown shouting match) about the corsairs entering zone 21 and alaska, I have a very point question for everyone.
What shields are you using?
If you're a corsair or an outcast and I scan you I fully expect to find positron shields mounted. Along with any britonians or mollies.
Molecular for the hessians, brunschuh, unioners, rhienland police and military, Bounty hunters and junkers.
Graviton for kusari factions and liberty ones.
But I'm betting very few people RP that far, which is a pity because then faction weapons would be far better then codenames because they'd be used against the shields their designed to be used against.
ok,when is zone21 so secret, how is possible that everyday is see BH or independent military or navy ships going trough it from new york,to alaska and then in delta? how is that possible? or you think that in area51 can come all who are friendly with us army? when you will resrict it from one side, you msut make the same from other side.because so long as will corsairs or our allies order know, that someone can jump trough it and come from this side (minor/delta/kappa) then that long we will go trough it too.because we know that shis side of sector is not safe.
as for smuggling i see nothing bad when someome escort a smuggler but not big fleet of caps( last time we escort smuggler trough alaska in fighter, light fighter and bomber, and we stay near zone 21,and when he dock,we go home)

The base is conspicuously absent from Federal publications and inquiries to the government regarding the facility are rejected for reasons of national security.
Wikipedia Wrote:Unlike much of the Nellis range, the area surrounding the lake is permanently off-limits both to civilian and normal military air traffic. The area is protected by radar stations, and unauthorized personnel are quickly expelled. Even military pilots training in the NAFR risk disciplinary action if they accidentally stray into the exclusionary "box" surrounding Groom's airspace.
Wikipedia Wrote:Perimeter security is provided by uniformed private security guards working for EG&G's security subcontractor Wackenhut,[20] who patrol in desert camouflage Jeep Cherokees and HMMWV vehicles, and more recently, champagne-colored Ford F-150 pickups and gray Chevy 2500 4X4 pickups. Although the guards are armed with M16s, no violent encounters with Area 51 observers have been reported; instead, the guards generally follow visitors near the perimeter and radio for the Lincoln County Sheriff. Deadly force is authorized if violators who attempt to breach the secured area fail to heed warnings to halt. Fines of around $600 seem to be the normal course of action, although some visitors and journalists report receiving follow-up visits from FBI agents. Some observers have been detained on public land for pointing camera equipment at the base. Surveillance is supplemented using buried motion sensors[21][22][23] and by HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters.
Wikipedia Wrote:The base does not appear on public U.S. government maps;[24] the USGS topographic map for the area only shows the long-disused Groom Mine,[25] and the civil aviation chart for Nevada shows a large restricted area,[26] but defines it as part of the Nellis restricted airspace. Similarly the National Atlas page showing federal lands in Nevada[27] does not distinguish between the Groom block and other parts of the Nellis range. Although officially declassified, the original film taken by U.S. Corona spy satellite in the 1960s has been altered prior to declassification; in answer to freedom of information queries, the government responds that these exposures (which map to Groom and the entire NAFR) appear to have been destroyed.[28] Terra satellite images (which were publicly available) were removed from webservers (including Microsoft's "Terraserver") in 2004,[29] and from the monochrome 1 m resolution USGS datadump made publicly available. NASA Landsat 7 images are still available (these are used in the NASA World Wind). Higher resolution (and more recent) images from other satellite imagery providers (including Russian providers and the IKONOS) are commercially available. These show, in considerable detail, the runway marking, base facilities, aircraft, and vehicles.
Wikipedia Wrote:In January of 2006, space historian Dwayne A. Day published an article in online aerospace magazine The Space Review titled "Astronauts and Area 51: the Skylab Incident." The article was based around a recently declassified memo written in 1974 to CIA director William Colby by an unknown CIA official. The memo reported that astronauts on board Skylab 4 had, as part of a larger program, inadvertently photographed a location of which the memo said "There were specific instructions not to do this. <redacted> was the only location which had such an instruction." Although the name of the location was obscured, the context led Day to believe that the subject was Groom Lake.[39][40]
The memo details debate between federal agencies regarding whether the images should be classified, with Department of Defense agencies arguing that it should, and NASA and the State Department arguing against classification. The memo itself questions the legality of unclassified images to be retroactively classified.
In roleplay, my character doesn't even acknowledge the name of the system. He refers to it strictly and exclusively as Zone 21 and requires all pilots under his watch to seek permission from him or other High Command before entranc.e
' Wrote:The Liberty forces restrict Zone 21 to their friends too. Even the police arent allowed in.
Actually there is a rumour that surprised me alot when I first played FL.
It basically tells you that a navy fighter wing ordered a police patrol wing to leave the area around zone 21, when they failed to do so (cos they were pursuing a group of rogues) the navy wing destroyed the entire police patrol wing.
Then refused to apologise or compensate the families either.
So I see no reason for the liberty navy aligned faction not to do the same to anyone else, upto and including the other liberty lawful factions.
