TBH I got Corsair characters that would like to rid Omicrons of everything non-Corsair, they'd need a very good explanation why they shouldn't take out a bunch of robots that can hunt my characters per their ID. No thanks, not welcome in the Omicrons.

So you really expect a well respected member of the Corsair community, an Elder to try to reason with them? That he is an Elder speaks for itself, he sure didn't got the title for nothing. It is a privilege very few can get and that means that very few have to work for it. And that he got this title means he have achieved it, proven himself worthy enough to be one of the leaders of the Empire. And you expect an Elder to explain his reasons to some random corsair just because he disagrees? You expect them to act inferior not to get shot down? An Elder? To act inferior to some random corsair? Because as been said, Corsairs got a "macho" culture, and that would practically mean that, and such Elder would quickly lose respect. And you expect him to do so? Joke of the century.
Yes, it's a position of respect, one that is earned, not something you rest on if you are a Corsair. Imagine ancient Rome and the Senate, dick waving gets you killed. That's a reasonable stance to adopt, and something you have to deal with and not default to the usual "'cause I say so". The bottom line is that one AI base less in the Omicrons is good for the Empire, the Elder would have to work it to convince captains otherwise.
What you don't seem to understand is that you need to roleplay your position as leader to truly have it, you have to do what is necessary to make people follow you; and not just rely on having written a nice story about how you rule the world. And that's great, it adds nuances to the Disco experience.
Look at how the Council of Elders usually conduct business, they are exemplary of how NPC faction leadership should handle things within the given structures and rules. They take into account the Corsair way, they extend their respect, and that pays off. But you have to work for it, not just flash it.

Again, the title "Elder" speaks for itself. I highly doubt Corsairs just give such titles away to anyone able to flash it. That somebody got the title must mean he has already earned that title. And some random Corsair has barely any right to ignore that.

Asking nicely and explaining why should do this and that instead of this and that while random corsairs assault a station, clearly not giving a damn about the elder (a sign of disrespect) is in my opinion not the way to roleplay somebody who have already earned his title, and his authority is being questioned by random people.

And isn't the respect towards the Elders a part of the Corsair way? Or we can just shoot them down if we want because this time they apparently don't want others to waste corsair firepower on tin cans posing no threat to them at that time? Do the Elders have to work for their respect all over again every time they get contested? What is the title for, then? What makes them Elders if anybody anytime can challenge their authority?
Guys, you are basically saying that bombers are to weak? I remember being next to West point with my friend, we were both in our Liberty Carriers. Some random freelancer comes along with 2 rogues and 1 lane hacker. They're all 4 in bombers and start throwing nova torpedos out of a distance of about 3k. They are agile, fast and could always run and keep torping the F*CK out of us.
We couldn't do anything about them! Bombers are wayyy to strong if you ask me! Nova torpedos should be taken out of the game completely aswell as nerving all torpedo ranges. Nerv every bomber's agility to about half and make them bigger.
Another thing that happened to me: 2 Scyllas and 1 Pirate Transport HAVE TO RUN FROM 2 POLICE BOMBERS ! SERIOUSELY WHAT THE ACTUAL F*** ! Sorry for swearing but, WHAT THE HELL! Bombers are wayyy to srong, and all you veterans talking about: "lololol i can kill anything in cap!" I wanna see you kill a bomber that is 2,5k away constantly throwing Nova torpedos at your face, remember that solaris turrets only have a range of 2k... It is realistic that fighters can't do sh*t against caps, that's how it should be. Look at Freespace 2 ! In this game, you need about 9-12 bombers to kill only a cruiser! And you will still be loosing about half of those bombers! It's only realistic if bombers need to pack up against caps!
Think of the rookies, please, that aren't (yet) leet-bomber pilots!

That's completely unrelated, but I take your points into account. Bombers are fine as they are right now, caps just need better anti-snub. Though, caps shouldn't be made to fight bombers anyway, you need to get snubs to deal with them.

Flaks are your answer.
After I have to hit with pinpoint accuracy and may not miss (cuz reload time...), and may have shot down 3 nova torpedos, either my energy is depleted or there are just more torpedos incoming. And if I only can defend me and cannot do anything else, well that's just realistic ofcourse... and the flak range of 1500m or so isn't really that helpful, if you fly a big ass carrier.

Well, as Lythrilux pointed out before me, caps aren't really meant to be anti-bomber actually, snubs are way more competent in snub combat. But still, Flaks are the best against Novas if you are alone, and by my experience they are way more efficient than you described them to be. Or maybe it has just been me...
