Winston plains base is rigged for a celebration. Flags are hanging on every building cheerful music fills the sky...Armed forces personnel march in their sunday uniform shoes are polished and their weapons shine in the afternoon sun.
Welcome live to Winston plains lady’s and gentleman, i am today your host and my name is Johnny Livingstone, right next to me sits Maureen Mc’Cullen. Together we will bring you a live report of todays events. Well Maureen what do you think?
Hello Johnny. Well i must say the Armed Forces are showing off big time. Because this Armed Forces base in the New London system is buzzing of activity. But today it is even more than usual. Security is tight and a patrol perimeter is established around the base. I spotted several sorties of Paladins flying above the base intercepting any civilian and non authorized ships. The armed forces royal band is playing some cheerful marshes but still there seems to hang a grim atmosphere around this place. You know anything about that Johnny?
Well the war is going not to bad but still a lot of Armed Forces and folks home hope for a offensive for a change. We are now on the defensive for what? 2 years? Our lads and lassies grow tired of it. They want to smack the enemy for a change. But lets not spoil this day with negative talk.
The tribunes are filling with people, husbands, wives, children, relatives and interested people. The VIP tribune is filling with high ranking officers. The centre around three massive Bretonian banners is filling with thousands of officers of the Armed forces in their red with white uniforms. A marine battalion stand on each flank. In the middle a large group of officers form up. They represent their squadrons, Battalions and ships. Two bands march around the field playing the Armed Forces march an ancient march from the old home. the last shuttles arrive and several admirals and commodores step out. Suddenly harsh shouts of marine sergeants sound over the field and quickly every man and woman on the field stands in formation. Admiral Charles Davis from the HMS-Leviathan, Admiral Ian driscoll, Fleet Admiral Mike Havering from the HMS-Sutherland, commodores Hall, Sinclair and Williams make their way to the area reserved for the HQ. Right in front of the troops. Not higher but on the same level. Admiral Driscoll makes his way to the speaker just a few inches higher so the speaker can see all troops.
Hangon Johny it seems one of the admirals is gonna say something lets hear in. Lets switch live to the field....
Admiral Driscoll clears his throat and taps a few times on the microphone producing a loud annoying sound. You see Fleet Admiral Havering rolling with his eyes while the rest of the high command brash grins. Ian grins as well.
Sorry....... He coughs a few times....
Man and woman of the Armed Forces. Fellow Bretonians. Welcome.... Today we stand in front of a lot of heroes. You... he points at the gathered troops.. the men and women standing in front of me.... Today we have come here to honor them, each one of you is a hero NEVER forget that... Let us also never forget those heroes who payed the ultimate price in our fight against the bloody frogs. There sacrifice shall never be forgotten, in honour of them lets have a minute of silence ...A breathtaking silence fell over the field.... After the minute the bands play the national anthem, and 12 battletanks open a salute fire of 36 shots.... Today...We honour some lads and lasses for their work they have done over the past years. They shall receive our appreciation.
I know give word to our new Fleet Admiral Mike Havering.... Applause and cheering from the forces and people on the tribunes is deafening when the Fleet Admiral makes his way to the speaker stand. Suddenly a loud ATTENTION!! sounds over the field and every soldier raises his/her hand to salute.....
The Fleet Admiral waves his hand meaning for them to stand at easy again.
I’ll get right to the point, as always, still got a war going on after all.
He gives a short smile and then proceeds by taking out a piece of paper from a pocket and starts to read.

Mike takes the Medal out of it’s case walks to where Johnson is standing in the row and pins the medal to his Uniform.
I probably wouldn’t be standing here if it weren’t for you saving my skin a few dozen times.
Mike says with a grin whilst tucking the case away.
Next on the list is Commander Henry Moore you’ve been awarded with the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary service in non-combat roles.
Moving to where Moore was standing Mike pins it to Moores Uniform, and then gives him a comeradly slap on the shoulder.

He moved back to the Podium to announce the last Medal that was to be handed out

After personally handing Page the OBE Medal Mike returns to the Podium.
For the passionate work and service you’re doing for the survival of House and Queen in which many have fallen and surely more will fall we salute you....
Ian coughs and steps forward while tapping his commanding officer on the shoulder. Excuse me sir. but i think we are not finished. He moves over to the mic and takes a breath. Sir we all know the sacrifices you made in the past and we know your spirit in the field. Except for your cursing from time to time you have leaded us to this point. A firm aye comes from every man and woman in the field. For your service to her majesty the Queen and Bretonia you are hereby awarded the Veterans Badge sir. A young captain has the honor to pin the badge on the Fleet admirals uniform.... Also for your actions and leadership in Leeds your are hereby receiving the Leeds Frontline Badge. The captain does his job again. Also sir.... With personal note from the Minister of war you are receiving the Courageous Action Medal for your duties and concern of welfare for the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonia.
Giving a laugh Havering stands straight for getting the Medals pinned to his uniform.
Having received the Medals the Fleet Admiral and the Admiralty give a salute to the Assembled Officers and Commanders showing respect for the work done.
A minute passes before the Fleet Admiral steps forward again.
Now lets show those Frogs what we’re really made of.
