Rheinland blew up the gates to stop Liberty from attacking Rheinland. in this case, they did it so no one from liberty could get to Rheinland anymore, same thing with Bretoina, remove a gate, save your house...

Was a strange jump hole connection.
in what way? there are a couple of loopy vanilla ones, this definitely never struck me as one. my fav jumphole. might seem strange now that disco is unbelievably huge, but that's not the jumphole's fault.

You don't see New York connecting right to Magellan, do you?
But Omega 11 connects right to Omega 41! We can all name systems, Alpha is not New York and 37 isn't Magellan.

Pretty much the most important smuggling route. The economic rebalance if that route didn't exist would be insane.
most important smuggling route, and it sidesteps both of the houses you'd be forced through otherwise. imo this route bears a lot of responsibility for Kusari being as dead as it is. activity and interaction black hole, worst thing ever, etc.
economic rebalance: an undeniable point, but my objection still stands imo. plus surely, any change to anything is going to have huge economy rebalances anyhow. changing things up by 400 credits is no more work than up by 1.
Missed the removal of camb-leeds, nb-s13 and frank-ham. That's some good moves all round.

They obviously want fun. War is fun. Being seperated from the action is no fun. And without wanting to quote some specific Zoner group - there's rarely roleplay involved during wars, but solely pewin all day (like it was the case in .85 when the Alpha-Eta-Delta-Gamma-Connection did make the fun possible).

Funny though, that ingame it's actually the other way round, that Liberty wants to have the weekly RNC raids in NY to stop.
Myself, I haven't seen a good LNS raid in Hamburg (not to mention New Berlin) since over a year.
In my view, this 'ending war' will only cause inactivity. (Unless there'll be a new war for Rheinland, what I highly doubt lore-/roleplay-wise.)
By the ways, I dislike how Rheinland is being compared with Germany who lost two wars aswell.

Actually, it doesn't. It looks like that in the ingame map only because of its placement, otherwise Rho is connected to Zeta and Delta, while Iota remaining connected to Zeta. But thanks for pointing it out, putting it in the map like that was merely an oversight and is now fixed.

The sizedown wasn't meant for the number of systems, but the systems themselves. Some systems received additional lanes, and some have their objects moved closer to the center of the system (Gallic ones included), to keep the same arrangement while providing a shorter flight time.

Both factions are getting a base in Sigma-13, so the region can once again be turned into the battleground of the two as it was originally intended in vanilla.

That's not an oversight.

Yes, it's still there. Fixed that one too.

The war is not over.

The systems were deemed redundant, so were removed from 87.
As far as I know, a spacer between Tau-37 and Alpha was put in at request from the Outcasts. Probably should ask Prysin about that wonderful idea.
At least with the Corsair/Outcast war they will have Sigma-13 as a battleground, which will also be something for Kusari, Rheinland and the GMG. It's still fairly hard to get there, but once you do it's fairly sorted.
As was said, Rheinland blow them up (setting explosives in key places on the structure - it's not a mass relay, Kazinsal ) to prevent Liberty's advance since inRP they are winning the war. This fits in with Liberty's plans to pull back and help against Gallia. You can still jump-hole there and as far as I know Bremen/New Hampshire are set up to be decent battlegrounds. The usual problems that prevent raids when people have to fly anywhere far though...
(07-15-2013, 09:21 PM)Shizune Wrote: same thing with Bretoina
Bretonia does the same ('with Liberty permission' I think), blowing up the Leeds -> New London gate entirely but failing (damaging/disconnecting only) to do so to the Leeds -> Newcastle. The gates on the other side are being re-connected to form an NL-Newcastle one.
Gallia should be less of an awful awful mess now, and at the very least there will be less than 5 ways of getting around and the lanes won't be GB-strength.
New Anglia and New Cambria are being totally deleted. Sucks to be anyone who jumped there.
