That day, several strike wings were sent to Battleship Matsumoto in Hokkaido system. An operation was obviously about to happen. Yet, little leaked... Discussions were going on within the wings. Was it a raid on the Blood Dragons assets? Or perhaps another operation in Chugoku...
They soon came to realize how far they were from the truth. What the Admiralty had in mind was more ambitious. Way more ambitious.
The objective was clear. A swift strike against Liberty assets in a system far from any trade routes. Some men couldn't help but rising an eyebrow in surprise by hearing they would be prolly fighting Libertonians soon. Was it really the right time to make new enemies? But they always were taught to obey.
The wings would meet undercover units in Tohoku, that would serve as a shield, covering Kusari intentions and confusing Liberty forces.
The wings left Hokkaido in perfect order with a transport full of determined marines.
Nagata's orders would be followed.
Background
Nagata Yuri, Vice-admiral in Kusari Naval Forces, was infected by an incubi during the last Kusari's attempt to take back the Arch. Since then, he sent the former head of the Navy to a trap, and taking her place, slowly put men he could trust to key positions within the Naval Forces.
Since the now 'Rebels' succeeded to leave Kusari, therefore signing their death warrant, the entity controlling Nagata believes it's high time to cause some havok.
His attention mainly turns towards Liberty, that was always a place full of people ready to steal what wasn't theirs.
Nagata decides to send a strike force into Omicron Minor system, supposedly to steal key intel and data from a LSF listening post in the system. His intentions are however to rise tensions between Liberty and Kusari, and to disrupt Liberty's researchs on Nomads.
He will bring Kusari Naval Forces to anger Liberty forces for some hypothetic intel - intel he will make sure to destroy if they are successful, and pave the way to the Alaska system entrance- and thus, will bring colonies closer to their downfall.
Please note KNF people participating to this raid do not know they are manipulated, nor are aware that they are siding with Wilds. For them, those 'Iseijins' are undercover Kempeitai agents pretending to be Kusari wilds to confuse Liberty forces.
Event proceedings
The Kusarians will move from Hokkaido, make their junction with infected forces, and move to Omicron Minor system via the Tohoku route. At least one of the KNF will be a transport, full of marines.
Kusarians objective is to get this transport moored to the LSF listening post in Minor, so that the marines can board it. After 20 minutes, the transport will unmoor and head back to Omicron 92, escorted by a part of the strike force, while the others try to retain Liberty forces.
Liberty forces' objective is to stop Kusarians (duh), and in particular to destroy the transport before it reaches Omicron 92.
Liberty forces won't be able to target the transport until at least two vessels composing its escort will be down from the beginning of the event.
Aftermath
- Transport is destroyed : The raid failed. Tension between Liberty and Kusari may or may not arise.
- Transport escapes : Key data to gain access to Alaska was stolen. Possible continuation on the plot should Nagata wish to arise the tension between both Houses.
