Simone was casually walking on the bridge of the CPW-Archon, when the communications officer spoke up.
-Comrade-commissar, I have just received a very strange transmission from THE RECRUITMENT CENTER ON BOA VISTA.
Seems like they got another mail from some kind of kid who wants to join our great cause.
-Oh, my Ikon... Why do you punish us with such idiots? Still... I can't understand how do they think we will communicate with them in transmissions... If someone really wants to do something for the good people of Sirius, why do they have to hide behind screens? Why can't they come here and put their ugly face in front of me? I'm not that scary... Ah, I hate to do this, but prepare the virus.
The virus.
The virus, which overloads the computer upon opening the transmission and eventually the screen will end up detonating into the "applicant's" face. Not a nice end, especially for someone, who's life could have been sacrificed for more valuable purposes.
On the signal of the communication's officer Simone turned towards the main screen.
-Good afternoon Mr. Zhang Pao. I see you misunderstood our propaganda, when we specially asked for face to face interviews. I'm sorry, but I can't do anything with you at this distance. - A smile appeared on Simone's face - Or, maybe I can. You know where to find us, if you can wipe the hot plasma off your face. I don't really like ugly men. Transmission over.
Upon watching the transmission, the virus has already overloaded the system of the applicant, who has only a few seconds to jump away, if he doesn't want burning plasma in his face.

- Well, that was mean for sure - thought Zhang and sighed shortly after as the screen just exploded. He had enough reflex and was too intelligent to not to set a special program for the viruses' in his screen, however, it would take some time until it gets repaired.
But from now, he decided to go to the system that was rumored for having the Coalition affinity. System after system, he has found the place from where the message was sent. After a small problem on the border (the fact that he had the IMG affiliated vessel), finally he was waiting in the room. The room he was waiting in was just one doors away from the room, where the recruiter and his future employee (the Commisair) would be waiting. He was no more than 25 years old, but still the cunning and slyness was visible in his eyes. And the red book that the age would be more than ancient - the book from the Ancient Earth, the Quotations of the Chairman, or rather known as the Little Red Book. It was a true artifact for those, who loved the Coalition and the ideas of the People's Army and People's Republic.
Simone walked onto Boa Vista station through the airlock of the Archon. Turning back she saw how the mighty typhoon class vessel got further from the station and saw the jump engines powering up. Hopefully she can give the signal to pick her up in a few hours. But until that moment she had a little business. Walking down to the coalition part of the station she greeted the usual assistant sitting at her desk in the main lobby. She was sipping coffee from a little red cup and pointed at a man waiting.
-Could you get one for me as well, I think this will be longer than I expected.
The assistant nodded at Simone.
-Hey, you there! I can't see any burns on your pretty face. Follow me, NOW!
She didn't care to look at him again or wait for any response, she walked into the first free office room to the right.
In the room, there was a big table, two chairs in front of it and one behind. On the wall there was a huge banner of the coalition, while to side some paper-racks. Above them a young, heroic man's face.
-So, who are you? What do you want? How do you want to reach it? Why do you want to reach it? You know... The usual questions. I want to know something about you, before I throw you out the airlock. No EV suits are guaranteed.
Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought.
The Asian male in his 20s looked deeply into her eyes, placing the red book on the table, shortly after he entered the room and sat.
- Well then, we are so friendly right now? - he said, not blinking even once, still eyeing her. - However, I found the joke with the virus... rather amusing. After all, Commissair. Well, it wouldn't be funny for my wallet of couse - he added.
- The matter is that I would like to join the Coalition, both from my ancestral matters and belief, that only the Coalition shall rule the Sirius Sector. And only the Coalition is the capable force to hold the peace and order. These pesky Allies are fighting with each other like a dogs over the rotten carcass.
A while after a longer pause, he placed his well hidden gun on the table, smiling.
- I am suprised that your security missed this one, but... The metal-seekers never works for the non-metallic side arms. The only thing I would say now, about my gun, right here, is... the unarmed man is the dead man, is not that, Commissair?
He paused once again, looking away and closing his eyes. He hold his hand on the small gun.
- Do you remember the first rule of the Coalition from the far Ancient times, Comrade Commissair? - he asked rather gently, less tense than before. He patted the Little Red Book with his other hand, as if he wanted her to look at it.
Simone was amused at the ignorance and arrogance which was radiating from the man before him.
-Okay, let's make the things clear. I AM the one asking questions here, you shut up when not told to speak. - she started walking towards the recruit - I can be friendly if I want - she pulled her finger slowly on the arm of the man, touching his face gently - Very, very friendly, if I want - walking slowly behind him, caressing and stroking the head of the recruit, then suddenly grabbing his neck she pulled him down to the floor. - But I can be very, very angry with you, if I WANT. - She released the man, who was choking on the ground for a few seconds more. - STAND UP YOU MISERABLE! - grabbing the man's gun from the desk he throw it at him, hitting his head hard. - Go on, try to shot me. You may be able to figure out, that your weapon is totally useless. Just like everything else, it was fried upon entering the coalition level of the station. Do you really think we don't take precautions against the damned spies like you? - Grabbing her sidearm she put it on the table. - Now, I didn't came in the front door, like you. This one is working perfectly. And the little shiny bullets will end up in your brain, if you don't play like I WANT! Am I understood?
Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought.
He looked at her and then smiled gently, standing up as she commanded.
- This is the spirit I was looking for, Comrade Commissair - he nodded and holstered his weapon, then stood up like a real soldier without word. - Now I know that we are really safe right now and you are the REAL Coalition officer.
After a while he looked at the gun, then closed his eyes.
- I am terribly sorry by my arrogance, but I got arrested a few times for my... ideas. I was putted into prison for a few months in Liberty, for that I was looking for the Coalition for some times. I have even got tricked by the Alliance scums from Liberty that they were from the Coalition. They still holds animosity against our pure ideas.
He took a longer breath openning eyes.
- I am Zhang Pao, the far... well... in biological sense not so far, descendant of the war hero of Coalition. He fought in the final stages of the Alliance-Coalition War and I do not want to fail this branch of his blood. I want to join Coalition, Comrade Commissair, because I do not belong to any of those petty houses outside the Coalition Space. I do not want to hide with my idealism anymore.
Leaving her gun at the table, she starting walking behind the recruit.
-So, you have been betrayed and screwed by the houses several times? Well, I don't think the Coalition needs someone who can be tricked like that. What will happen with you in the space? "Oh, please help me, I was attacked by those filthy allies", and you run blindly into a trap? Anyway, who talked you about these so called "allies"? Didn't you realize that they're taking apart the whole sector just to kill each other? I don't care who your father was and how did you get here. My father was a captain in the great Rheinland's navy... So what? I'm still here, and I'm the one who's here to take out the pesky spies, just like you.
Stopping behind the man, she grabbed her combat knife and with a fast move sliced his throat. She put her hands on his shoulders and kept him from falling of the chair, while he was shaking and holding his throat. The blood slowly filling up his lungs couldn't be a good feeling.
A few minutes later she let the lifeless body drop onto the floor.
-I am sorry to inform you, but your application is denied.
Walking out of the office into the lobby, she searched for another recruit. After cleaning the blood off from his knife and hands in his clothes he walked to the assistant, who gave her the coffee she asked for.
-Thank you, and please send in the cleaning staff.

You can ignore reality but you can not ignore consequences of ignoring reality
Dmitry Dubovik has entered Boa Vista station's recruitment office. He was not in good mod this time and havent wasted any time to talk with commissars or Alicia even. He saw one lone recruit in end of a hall. Dmitry took a quick look over his papers and threw them into garbage can. Then he approached Gulryz, unholsted a pistol and shot him in the knee, then shoulder and then heart. After making sure that Osama no more alive, he nodded to guards to clean out the mess and left offices.
General Joseph Garcia returned to his office inside the SCRA's recruitment facility onboard Boa Vista station. As he entered the first thing he noticed was a surplus of blood and a lack of new recruits.
Deciding to rectify this situation, he headed towards his terminal and began typing an internal memo to the recruitment staff.
Quote:Recruitment Officers,
I have noticed that a great many of you have been overzealous in your recruitment processes. While I'm sure that your loyalty to our cause is unquestionable, you need to understand that a lack of pilots to fly in the SCRA can only be of detriment to us. Killing everyone that enters sends a negative image of the SCRA. Much worse than the propaganda that the Houses of Sirius perpetuates against us.
Keep in mind that not everyone that comes through these doors is going to have military experience. We're revolutionaries and the main source of our recruits may come from farmers or miners, not soldiers. We cannot expect these people to be the ideal soldier but that's what training is for.
As of this moment, you are going to stop executing anyone who answers a simple question incorrectly or if they do not cater to your every whim. You can still execute the spies and those that refuse to follow basic instruction of course.
That is all.
Satisfied that his Memo would alleviate the need to constantly wear ear plugs, General Garcia leaned back in his chair and waited for recruits to slowly return to the office once they were no longer intimidated about instantaneous death. At least, not TOO intimidated.
