Want to hear more opinions on this matter. Basically they're colonists, but people tend to think that since they are colonists, they don't have any ability to deffend themselfs. That they can't have fleet and stuff like that.

Let's look on this with some logic. Omicrons are dangerous place. So having deffense there is necessary to survive. And from all factions in Omicrons only Zoners have the ability to maintain fleet. Corsairs and Outcasts are hostiles pretty much everywhere, and they're not supported enough to maintain big fleets. Order by some sense of logic should not have fleet at all... it's does not fit their... say... ways to operate.

But as for zoners, they have access to pretty much everything, have more bases then any faction in Omicrons. Well, had at least... with all those new systems and bases, which actually don't make any sense it changed... Still, why with all this people tend to believe that Zoners should not have a fleet?

This is only my opinion and I am wondering what do you think about it. If you have a point, please support it with some thoughts. Just saying "Zoners should not have caps because zoners" won't be considered.

Yes they do need some form of defense, which is why the 'fearless' dessie and the corvo are appropriate. But gigantic heavily armed and armored ships..... seems a bit absurd.

As you say, zoners have a lot of bases, stations and freeports in the area so why the need of aformentioned big ships. it just doesnt really make any sense.

if you count livadia and the amount of zoners in the area, but thats an overly simplistic way of looking at it. Zoners arent united enough to support said fleet. thats the base of a lot of anti-zoner cap arguments. only the official factions have enough inRP cohesion to support large ships. (and no, this isnt a official factions advantage argument).

can you honestly say there are enough zoners, and enough co-operation and cohesion between them to support the large amounts of existing big zoner caps?

Yes, i agree. But Destroyers and especially Bombers are more than enough for defense purposes.

Well, good enough point, Sabre... though imo Nephy and Corvo should exist, but not be as powerful as they are.

What to explain there? Zoners are neutral with everyone, they are able to fly in the colonies safely. But Corsairs are not welcome anywhere they go. I heard they're secretly supported by Samura, but still, that's barely enough to supply a fleet, even if you tie robery and everything else. Outcasts are pretty much the same case.

There are many things that don't make any sense, actually... and one created another, in a try to make previous nonsense make sense.

Yes. Explain. Thank you. And do you heard of the Junkers? They are very similar to the Zoners when it comes to "we can go almost everywhere". Only Kusari is off limits for them. And they support both the Corsairs and the Outcasts with a lot of stuff isn't it?

And after you didn't reply to my other question. There are not enough Zoners around the Omicrons to maintain a fleet AND all stations down there. Everything else would be a wet dream of a Zoner fan.

I am not Zoner fan... Just the numbers of things made for them make me wonder if that actually was worth it...

Well, if you look at this from this point of view, nothing on discovery makes sense... All cap lines except of house ones should be removed this way... Oh well, thanks for your opinion.

Red Hessian BS doesn't makes sense. And a few other Faction with capships.

About the Zoners. Maybe they do have the numbers Sirius wide but not in the Omicrons if you think about the staff a Station needs and a single battleship. That's why i said that a Corvo is cool enough for Zoners. And Bombers.

And my opinion about Cap ships in general? They should be removed altogether. Even for miltary's. But that's another story. You made a thread. I gave you my opinion. If you don't like other opinions then don't make a thread. No need for a snarky "oh well" comment.

Exactly, what is the problem with them? Why can't we leave them as they are at the moment?

Because some peeps want them to be a way bigger as they actually are. That's a problem with many faction here though.
