To OSI, TAZ, (\^/), and whoever on the dev team is responsible for Zoner roleplay

Apologies if the answers I'm seeking are obvious ingame, but I haven't had a chance to download the update yet. And on top of that, I've been out of the loop for a while. Hopefully this will turn into a fruitful discussion on the overall direction of the Zoners.

So, with Bretonia being pushed out of Leeds and backing up into a "newly annexed" Omega 3, how does that influence Zoner roleplay in Omega 3, 50, 47, and 49? The official factions aside, how are indie Zoners, specifically non-traders, supposed to interact with the Bretonian house's presence in Omega 3, and the pirates whom seek to prey on Bretonia's evacuation?

Does Omega 3 become 'house space' where Zoner ships can no longer dock freely?

What becomes of Freeport 1? I doubt Bretonia is going to be happy with pirates using a neutral base a stone's throw from their new refugee camp, whether they're launching raids from there or not.

Has the Zoners' stance on Gallia changed? How about the official factions, have their stance changed? I assume it's not in the Zoners' best interests to sit back and watch while Gallia walks all over Bretonia.

Here's hoping that the answer to one of these questions will give the non-trader indies something fun to do.

Edit: As AD said, O-3 will remain an independent system despite bretonia "claiming" it.

I dont think anything major will happen, perhaps another war ( yeah the first one involved freeport as well ) - im unsure what they would do with it, but perhaps jammi's kingdom can contact the sairs and offer a truce. I would love to have reasons to push all the factions to gallia. But joey likes cambridge

Omega 3 may be "claimed" by Bretonia, just as Omega 7 is "claimed" by Rheinland. But that doesn't make it a house system. They are borderworlds and will stay that way.

If it's about "i can't fly around in my shiny neph anymore" Zoners would be pretty satisfied with balance of outlaws/laws forces, no point to bring edge machines into BW.

I'm having trouble understanding what you wrote, but I think I got the idea. And I have to say I disagree with you.

The Zoners have interests in the areas Gallia is expanding into and towards. They are encroaching upon TAZ's doorstep. They are encroaching upon Zoner stations and forcing Bretonia to back up into 'our turf'.

We have roots in those stations and systems. We can't simply pack up and leave for deep space. As much as we don't like living under house rule, we rely on the houses and being in their proximity.

And so.. no, I don't think the Zoner community can just ignore this, for these reasons and ones that I mentioned in my original post. Eventually we're going to have to do... something... and I'm growing increasingly frustrated that nobody from any of our 'official factions' has stopped by to pitch in their thoughts on how this new update affects our faction's roleplay! Or even to say "hold on, we're still discussing it within our faction." It really feels like the official factions care about themselves, and everybody else is on their own.

Well according to yourself in the zonerszonerszoners thread, neither TAZ or OSI are 'real' zoners. So you cant have it both ways.....

As for officials deciding... since when do zoner indies ever listen to zoner officials? case in point a certain zoner group who ignored all official zoner factions....

Another point.... zoners arent like a normal faction. If you want the officials to take charge of zoner RP, then zoner indies HAVE to listen and deal with what is decided. but since the chances of that happening are unlikely, any attempt would be an exercise in futility.

- Zoners and Gallia, well only TAZ managed to RP with the prince but before he left he decided to give us free passage towards tau 31. which would mean at least no full rephack. If my memorie is not mistaken was even access within gallia itself. But would need to check plain zoner id was a no if i was not mistaken. But honestly too lazy to use search and to dig now.
