Ive an idea, what if we made it so you could buy lights? Turret class 6 is unused, we could add class 6 turret points to ships, and then modify the light objects to be mountable on class 6 turret locations. You could also do this with contrails. I know. I did it. OR, allow people to mount and unmount their lights. In other words, make them removable. They already have their own hardpoints. This would let people customize their ships further.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

Well, it really depends on if they'd be off-onable. If they were constantly going, it would sort of defeat the purpose, not to mention be annoying.

Some lights stay on, some flash, etc. Some have scripts attached, such as the docking lights.

custom lights would be fun, but annoying to admins.
unless we make out yet another batch of ships with the special lights on.

might I mention, custom engines is feasible as well. on universe my sabre used rheinland engines. it was a simple item to be bought, and put in the nano shield section i believe. made nice customs.

Its the same idea as the tractor beam. It wasn't shown by default (I think), but it was given item information and turned into something that could be mounted and unmounted (although incorrectly usually.) All thats required is doing the same thing to lights that we did to tractor beams, and give them...whats the word?
