We couldn't accomplish our reconnaissance mission in low profile style. We had no luck. One Gallic scout reported our position on all channels as soon as we arrived to Taus. Our ships didn't have a chance to cloak, so we went on with hope for more luck. But, luck were not on our side, so we got intercepted by Outcasts. For some reason, their Command didn't engage us with matching strength. It's not usual...
After a short brawl with their interceptors in Tau-37, we managed to break through. Unfortunately, we lost some brave pilots and some got wounded. We won a chance to get to Omicron Alpha by force, so we took that chance. There was no military activity there in Alpha. There was no fleet to scan, so we went to the next system and than next again.
Our road to Gamma was clear, but I ordered our ships to stay at Sigmas. I'm sure Outcasts are up to something. Their fleet is either well hidden at Alpha, or it's somewhere else. Maybe they are forwarding to Crete in this very moment.
With our main fleet repairing at Tripoli, we are so vulnerable now. I advise at least this small fleet to stay in Sigmas. We could intercept or even surprise Outcasts from here. That could buy Tripoli more time for repairs.
I'm sure you'll find the right path for us, Senores Elders.
we are still searching for Outcast fleet. We know it's not in Sigmas now. We checked in Alpha again, but have only found their automatic defense ships (known as NPC) and 6-7 non-automated fighter and bomber class ships. Those pilots strongly rely on hi-tech missile/torpedo technology, so I presume they are not in active service yet. However, Alpha's automatic defense gunboats and battleships were stronger than ever, so we lost both of our ships.
We should work more on weakening Outcast economy. Building and supporting so strong automatic defenses certainly costs amazing number of slave/cardamine loads taxed. Our recent Omega and Cambridge affairs took us far from our real enemy, I'm afraid.
Humbly waiting for your further orders, Senores Elders.
