I wonder what would happen if orbiting of planets and stations around other celestial bodies would be implemented.

That would make many interesting possibilities i.e. tradelanes temporairly not working due to going through the sun right now oO

I don't think that is possible actually.

The Freelancer engine and hard-coded things won't allow for orbital systems, at least I think.

STO blows...could never touch freelancer. Although trek ships would look good via FL engine, just doesnt mix with the 24/7 rp server. I would totally dig a full trek conversion mod with an online rp server though. would be way better than sto!

Make those systems really big.
