Greetings. You have found your way here by one of our many message beacons, by word of mouth, or by pure chance. In any of the instances, we welcome you to discovering more about us and what we do.

We are the shadows of Sirius. The under workings of trade that you do not see. We are the ones delivering the goods that the houses would rather you not possess. We are the ones who run the blockades the houses put up in times of war. We are the ones who deliver the ammunition and explosives that rebellions need to overthrow their would be rulers.

We are the daredevils and the suicidal pilots who would risk our lives to get goods delivered to where they need to go for some scratch in our pockets. We are the ones who stick our necks out for that huge payoff of Cardiamine or Nuclear Weapons to those who need it to survive or to rain destruction down on their enemies.

We have no identities. We have no names. We only go by Shadow-One, Shadow-Two, Shadow-Three, etc. to prevent others from ratting us out if and when they get caught. If you have no names, how can you be found? You can't.

We are the ones who smuggle. We are the shadows that fly past your ship without you noticing. We are the ones who deliver. We are the ones who run blockades at the risk of our own life just for a few million credits.

Got what it takes? Think you can fly with the best? Well, let's see what you've got, rookie.

OORP Information

Shadowfall is a group of like minded smugglers/blockade runners/traders who have a similar philosophy: Smuggle to make credits and risk it all to do so. They have no base of operations. They have no official roster, only numbers prefaced by the name "Shadow", as they call themselves. This is to prevent the names of the members being known. This part is in RP of course, roster will be displayed on faction document as required, although I hope people don't play "god" and know the names of everyone some how.

The faction is restricted to Freighters only. No transports, bombers, fighters, etc (the only exception is the slave liner doubling as our moving base). If the members want to be able to stand up to anyone trying to stop them, they need to hire an escort or run like hell from whoever is pursuing them. This is a smuggling faction, not a pirate faction. We don't attack anyone outright unless our backs are against the wall and we have no other choice but to defend ourselves. Most of the times, the ones who we have to defend ourselves from would be Bounty Hunters, Mercs, and Freelancers due to our jobs. Bounties are going to be placed on our heads by House factions for running blockades and smuggling, so all BH and Merc's are unfriendly while Indie Freelancers we are simply very cautious around.

Contracts are welcomed, in RP, for us to deliver goods to those in need. A good example would be "freedom fighters" on Leeds via the extra docking area on the Planet Leeds. We would be essentially blockade running and being paid to deliver the guns to the people on the surface. We don't only smuggle illicit goods, we also blockade run and deliver relief supplies to those who need them.

ID will be the Freelancer ID and Freelancer Tag. Any ship (as long as it's a freighter, and agrees with the FL ID and Tag) is welcomed to be used by members. If it is an official faction freighter, it's a no-no unless we get permission from the corresponding faction to fly their ship.

Naming conventions for Shadowfall are easy to understand. A new RP character must be made with the proper Shadow-<Number> (I.E. Shadow-Two, Shadow-Three, etc.). If members wish to give their ship a name (I.E. mine is named Seraphim) that's fine, however your character must not have a proper name as that is required for the RP for Shadowfall. If anyone doesn't want to do this then we can't accept you in because it'd throw off the entire RP of the faction as a whole. Make it fun, make it mystery or drop hints here and there about the real name of your character, but don't say it outright. Keep it a mystery as it's supposed to.

Please keep in mind, I'm making this simply because I want to have fun smuggling with other people. I don't really care if this goes official or not and I'm not posting this up here as if to say I want to be. I don't want to join any already made faction because I want to have fun controlling where and what I do and how I do it (sorry if that sounds a bit rude). This is just for me to have some fun with others while I'm going to school. Not being military anymore, I have a little spare time now. Please take a look over this and see if you see any discrepancies and let me know if you guys have any suggestions or tweaks that can be done to make this a smooth faction document.

Why are the Isejiin neutral? Surely they should be on the same level as Das Wilde, no?

I can't see where the Salvager is but if you intend to use it, nope. The junker salvager is clearly made for only Junkers, unless you try to steal it, but you have to consider the Junkers as your enemies then. The infocard and all mentions that only Junkers use it and that those vessels wont be given to anyone else. That's just for the info, of course you mentioned that you use only Freighters though.

I put it up there absent mindlessly, I removed it because someone pointed out my boo-boo, haha. I don't plan on making enemies with the Junkers as they're one of the best hands to have if you're a smuggle.

Anyone else have suggestions or tweaks? Appreciate the feedback thus far.

Looks good to me. Not overly ambitious or overinflated too. Disco needs a good smuggling faction.

Good ideea. Now we can really give firefly the purpouse that it deserve. I can already see tons of RP for a char. Count me in when rectuitment opens. Of and after rollback. I will not touch the game now. After rollback is ok.

i'd include fireflies and yachts in the list, cos successful smugglers like shiny toys. you can't smuggle in anything larger than a firefly, but you are a little slower as a counterpoint for the increased cargohold.
