Bot Feeding is... Good?

You should have never engaged silly man. Or ran away at the sight of it when it showed up.

Seems like some people around here like to think they have some sort of "right" to easy kills and fair fights or something.

Just because you're good at PvP doesn't mean everyone has to die to you by playing by your style. If they bot feed they're just using all the cards available to them at the time to win/survive. Good on them, and shame on you for not accounting for a very real possibility in a fight. Be ashamed of yourself for complaining, not mad they beat you with something other than PvP skill.

The only time I don't like bot feeding is when it's a cap to a snub just because of the massive differences in capacity. If a snub feeds another snub 66 bots then it's a major thing and the feeder is now vulnerable where as if a cap feeds 66 bots it's almost inconsequential given the scale of it all.

3: Better RP - No captain is going to refuse to save his comrades lives because "its unfair on the enemy" unless theres some kind of duel agreed on. I like duels and fair fights, its just ridiculous to try to force other people to fight like that all the time too. Im not advocating calling in a BS to botfeed a 1on1 fighter fight, just that in the middle of a fairly even, fight, or one you're losing, bot feeding is fine.

How exactly do you justify botfeeding inRP? The mechanics arent exactly inRP

Dumping something into space is relatively self explanatory so is tractoring in goods. But I personally dont use the trade function outside of conn

I don't really see nanobots/shield batteries as being actual items that can be traded.

Rather, they are simply the capacity of the ship's crew to make repairs to the hull using available materials and equipment, or overcharge the shield generator to restore its strength. When you run out of bots, you're out of ability to repair the hull. When you're out of bats, you can't overcharge the shield anymore without frying its circuits and wiring.

A better system would be, you activate a module and it restores your shield faster in exchange for powercore drain.

This is probably the only time I've ever agreed with Trail. No ship, except the repair ship or other craft with robotic arms, has the ability to repair another ship, unless the damaged ship can dock within it.

Well, my idea involved shield batteries no longer being a consumable item, and instead just being a module on the ship that would convert ship energy to shield hp.

Botfeeding is bad. It makes people who should die horribly survive longer.

Caps/Transports feeding snubs is just defeatist and silly.

Both of these statements provide exactly the answer I would've written out.

I agree with both of these, and as leader of the [LN], it's something that I (and my "High Command") try to actively enforce. "Don't feed snubs with caps", I mean.

It's lame, and it makes fights draw out longer than they need to, and it makes you look like you're scared to lose pixelships, which is silly.

an idea: why not making caps bot-less (having no means to regenerate hull mid-fight) and having to use a station nearby to repair
As seen being done by Walker (Commander of a LSC) when research station Willard was attacked by the infected Rheinlanders, and also when Trent and Juni became wanted and escaped to Bretonia, that BS blocking the lane to west point wasn't using bots

I'd prefer that Caps does't have the option to use Bots (not to be confused with bats)

Just make capital ship repair/recharge kit. Acting like bot/bat, but can be used only by capitals. 1 repair kit restores your hull for 100%, one recharge kit restores sheild 100%. There won't be need 3X10*6 bat/bot to make capital to stay a bit longer in fight.
And all caps should have 3/3. That will give caps some survive ability, and won't make capital ships not to die at least in 30-50 secs.

Bot/Bat feeding from caps should be canceled to snubs should be canceled even by RP: Only carriers should be able to "heal" fighters. Every ship which has no hangar, cap help to fighter only by picking up his escape pod.
