Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this ship leaves the game. The player may do so on a different character to fight for the opposing force.

Whatcha think? Not like it is not already being done.
EDIT:
In the case of large battles involving official factions as opposing sides, for example LN and RM. Players who have an LN ID, if died, could come back as RM IDed characters and join in. If they die there, tough shait.

[humor]So Reavers can shoot one side first, and the other side next?[/humor]
I'm indifferent towards this. Does allow for situations where the losing side gets blown up, and the winning side just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Isn't this part of what people complain about as "metagaming?"
Although, in honesty, if a person switches to a different char within the same faction as they one they were in to re-engage...that makes more RP sense to me. Or, what if you may only reengage if you have another char docked within the same system? Maybe then it is allowed, but you cannot come from another system to re-engage?
Ex: You kill my Gateway| transport in the Cortez system. I fortunately have another Gateway| escort bomber docked on planet Curacao, which I transmit an Emergency (inRP) requesting assistance. So, I then switch to the bomber and can reengage the fellow(s) who killed the transport.
NOT ALLOWED would be me logging onto my BAF char in Magellan and coming to attack the folks who killed my Gateway| transport.
Imagine you have a 4 vs 4.
Faction A vs faction B.
Player B1 dies, now it's 4 vs 3.
Now Player B1 logs a ship of faction A "because he can" - which results in a 5 vs 3.
Player B4 dies, now it's 5 vs 2.
Logs a faction A ship, now it's 6 vs 2.
Wheee...
Even worse if the losing faction is already outnumbered.
So, no, I don't see the point. Just makes unfair fight even worse once the first people start dying.
I like how the rule is now.
EDIT:
Waaaaait...unless I misunderstood that.
Opposing force would be faction A for a player from faction B?
That would ... well ... that would still be problematic, when you, like, consider how many enemies GRN has:
People fighting GRN and getting killed by them could just come back 5 times or something.
Nah, as in. In the case of large battles involving official factions as opposing sides, for example LN and RM. Players who have an LN ID, if died, could come back as RM IDed characters and join in. If they die there, tough shait.

Quote:If you are killed or docked whit trader ship you can't engage the player who killed you or force you to dock.
So, essentially a docked trade ship is the same as a dead trade ship. Sure...you may have saved your load of goods...but at what cost? You're stuck being docked until the pirate is killed or leaves the area. Or...you are forced to switch chars and do something else? It's basically a situation that plays heavily in favor of the pirate and punishes the trade ship for escaping!
Quote:If you are killed, you can't respawn whit same caracter.
I think this is good...but may re-engage with another char from same faction. This also encourages money-sinking into making multiple chars in same faction (if folks aren't doing that already)
