I have started a Available ships section, on the wiki in hopes to cut the time down on digging through all the pages to find a ship. I will need help though.. 290 ships and 12 "Classifications".. if any of you have FLStats and willing to help It would be much appreciated.

Don't bother doing this by hand; we've already got the Ship Portal and pages with ship lists for each ship type (e.g. fighters) as well which will be updated and auto-generated in the near future, so any work you do on this page will in other words soon be made redundant. If people need a list of available ships until then, I'd suggest using FLStat or FL Companion.

Magic. Thank Ursus for that. Updating the Wiki would have been an insurmountable task without auto-generating content; we would probably have been done by v4.88 or something if we started doing everything by hand right now.

PS: And keep in mind that any work done on the Wiki now will most likely have to be re-done or at the very least rechecked when the final version of v4.87 is out, so I'd recommend holding back a bit until that is released.

Okay so when full release comes out for Discover 4.87, the wiki will be auto generated? like, each page on the current wiki will be redone or, deleted then redone. or. what?

No, far from all of them, and there'll be quite a lot of manual checking and additions (e.g. uploading new pictures of everything) needed after that as well, but it's less work and more reliable than doing everything by hand. Ship, equipment (including guns), commodity, base and system pages are the main categories that can and will be auto-generated, if I recall correctly. Nothing will be deleted.
