Active? Of course. You won't have seen the Association flying recently due to exam period for university. Expect heavier server presence from May onwards.
Updated the structure to give a clearer picture of promotional procedure as well as a clarification that the whole section refers to characters and not players.
Here's my question: what can your group provide that couldn't be better provided by A) going to a corporate faction, B) going with IMG, or C) staying an independent player?

What are the perks of your group?
A) Freelancers are mostly unrestricted by house politics, which means you do not have issues like Bowex not being allowed in Gallia etc.
B) The focus is on trading or hauling inRP goods hauling rather than on mining.
C) You are effectively an independent trader. You are pretty much free to roleplay or haul any cargo you wish, as long as you stick to the diplomacy. The group is meant to provide support on your roleplay.
Eg. Outcasts and GC are hostile so there is no source of Cardamine therefore no Cardamine-smuggling unless you RP a supply of the stuff from someone.
Fair enough, but here are a few things to keep in mind:
Quote:A) Freelancers are mostly unrestricted by house politics, which means you do not have issues like Bowex not being allowed in Gallia etc.
-Not all corporations are restricted equally. Both Gateway and ALG have almost universal access to markets (albeit legal ones)
Quote:B) The focus is on trading or hauling inRP goods hauling rather than on mining.
-Shipping companies actually DO focus on hauling goods, both mined and not.

-So you basically want to make a group for people who otherwise don't want to be in groups? I see a problem there.

Well, depends on what you want to haul, I suppose.

The IMG isn't what most people would call a 'shipping' company, even if they do shipments.

Yes, and I don't see the problem. You can fly together, but you don't HAVE to. Think you've gotten all you can from us and want to go solo? No problem there. GLHF.
I guess the best description of what I have in mind is a traders guild that teaches money-making, RP, and rules.

Well, I could certainly see the benefit of folks willing to help freelancers out, especially new players. I guess I'm just confused as why you need to be in a group to do so in the first place.
Also...isn't that what the [Angels] are for? Or supposed to be....if they still existed. ?
