Haven't seen you in a while. Hope everything's going alright. Anyway, as I said in that report earlier, I've had some dealings with the Junker Marauders, and it's got me thinking that it could be handy to have some sort of arrangement with them. Nothing particularly formal, but they seem to have an easier job getting at Military salvage then we do, and arranging for them to on sell at least some of that technology to us would be all sorts of handy for the research I'm doing. Gah, I hate that word. Makes me sound like a lab coat.
Even the stuff I couldn't patch up for use would still be useful for analysis. I'm not too worried about the hulls, I mean Zwiackau's producing the things (or at least a close imitation thereof), but keeping track of any changes the Military makes to their internal systems would help us keep our own ships up-to-date, and prevent any particularly nasty surprises if they roll out upgrades before we do. Once we were done picking the kit apart we might even be able to sell it back to keep the costs steady.
Anyway, it's just an idea. It doesn't have to be the Marauders, I suppose we could pay anyone to pick up scrap, but they're probably among the least likely to draw attention.
Take it easy out there.

I am loathe to rely upon the Junkers for anything of a caliber of keeping the Party's Combat Panoply up-to-date; even at our present stage of the most well-supplied Bundschuh Sect yet, we're far behind mustering anything as sophisticated as the Rheinwehr.
To put it bluntly, I do not trust the Junkers. We're well-aware from our visits to their Libertonian representatives that the slave trade is rich there, and muted only barely enough to prevent overwhelming local reply. They make money off of the lives of innocent people, much like the Unioners and all but the most ideological of Hessians.
While I may not trust them, I do trust you. I'll give you explicit permission to contact and contract these "Marauders" for the services you described, as well as any other parties you can think of. Use your judgement here; while you're free to contact whomever, don't embroil yourself in a deal that would cost yourself or the Widerstand too much. Additionally, attempt to guage the ethics of the entity you're contacting, for reasons I shouldn't need to state.
I will leave you to it, and I apologize for having been away from Bruchsal and on the fringe of our territory. We've had a number of Party assets vanishing from the Bremen system and I'm attempting to narrow down their whereabouts.
That's fine. I mean, I don't think anyone trusts the Junkers, but they're good at their job, and they know their tech. I'll make contact shortly, once I've figured out what I can offer them in return. Obviously most of my money went sailing in the sun with the Contents, so I'll have to work something else out.
Perhaps I can offer them salvage rights or something. I'll figure it out. I'll patch you in on the message once I send it off. You'll have to tell me about Bremen sometime, sounds concerning. If there's anything I can do to help out with tracking our gear down, let me know.
Thanks for giving me this chance. I won't let you down.

After a bit of thought, I figured the Marauders probably weren't an ideal choice. I mean, with a name like that, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence, does it? So, as an alternate option, I've called in an offer of a favor from an ALG pilot. Still waiting to see if she gets back to us, but if she does, it could make things a little easier, without needing to rely on the Junkers.
An another point, I was hoping I might be able to get clearance to take a trip to Liberty. I'm working on a system to help us keep up-to-date with military (and other, of course!) hardware, and there's some contacts back that way that could help me out in sourcing some materials I need. I'd have to leave the Strep on Bruchsal, mind. I don't think she's ready to fly yet, so the trip would have to be made in my old ship. I should be able to secure transport back for anything too big to git in the cargo bay.
That won't be a problem, right?

It won't be a problem at all. Depending on how long you'll be remaining in Liberty, you'll want to take care because the Rogues und Unioners are rather unfond of the Bundschuh's unwillingness to tolerate their contraband-peddling. The "Xenos"... Well, I do not know much of them, but they seem to be something of ultra-nationalists. Unless you can mimic their rural-Libertonian-accents, they'll likely attempt to terminate you as well.
The only areas you're likely to find clearance to dock upon are Junker depots or the the odd Zoner-administrated station, such as within Pennsylvania. You also will likely be able to secure escort and protection from the Liberty Navy if you declare your affiliation to the Widerstand to their Primary Fleet.
Actually, with so few in Liberty concretely willing to deal with us... This makes me question who you possibly could have reached.
...But I'll trust your judgement. Best of luck, Sparks.
