It must be incredibly boring for you to play this game then.

which game are you playing where you dont have one finger on the prtsc, and can pull up dsace logs at will?
The one where I've read the rules and then play the damn game. I RP with people, then sometimes I shoot the people. Sometimes I don't shoot the people. I fly transports full of goods, and sometimes people RP with me. I RP with them. Sometimes they shoot me. Sometimes they don't.
I play a game where I don't have to keep my finger on the print screen button and, to be totally honest, don't even have chatlog enabled most of the time. How do I go about playing this game?
By treating it like a game.
People need to seriously relax and go outside once in a while.
if everyone goes outside for a while, playerlist goes down (nerd).
i think the problem is many people stick to one or two of their favourite ships, and dont get to see how the other half lives; they dont see how their fun ruins other peoples' days.
of course, the other side of the coin <ahem> is that many people don't know how to lose gracefully, and turn that loss into a win by learning from the encounter. instead, they fly with their fraps enabled just so they can call in an umpire, rather than relying on gamesmanship (which, to be fair, may have been missing from their disco experience thus far, due to people blue message hunting)
I'm not a fan of dying in Disco. But it's a game. I don't care if my pixel ship gets blown up, on a grandiose scale. I might get a little miffed if, say, the Metropolis goes boom, but that's just reason for me to not do whatever I did to make the Meteropolis go boom.
Thankfully, I don't take the Metropolis into combat zones a whole lot. It's a great leverage stick for scaring the crap out of people, a cloaking Arbiter is.
